Equatorial Energia SA with Rede Energia SA and QMRA Participacoes SA Conclude Acquisition of 61.37% Stake in Centrais Eletricas do Para SA
Equatorial Energia SA announced that, following the information disclosed to the public on September 25, 2012, and October 30, 2012 and in context of an agreement signed between the Company, its parent companies Rede Energia SA and QMRA Participacoes SA, with intervention of Mr. Jorge Queiroz de Moraes Junior and Centrais Eletricas do Para SA - Em Recuperacao Judicial (Celpa) it concluded, on November 1, 2012, the acquisition of 39,179,397 Celpa’s shares, of which 38,717,480 ordinary shares and 461,917 preferred shares, corresponding to a 61.37% stake in the share capital of Celpa. The completion of the transaction was followed by receiving the approval from the National Agency for Electric Power – ANEEL and Administrative Council for Economic Defense – CADE.
