Statoil ASA Starts Production at Visund South Oil and Gas Field in License Held with ConocoPhillips and Total SA-Reuters
Reuters reported that Statoil ASA has started up production on the Visund South oil and gas field in the North Sea, in license held with Petoro, ConocoPhillips and Total SA. Volumes at the field have been estimated at around 67 million barrels of oil equivalents (boe), of which oil accounts for 25% and gas 75%. Statoil as operator has a 53.2% in the development, while Total has 7.7%, state-owned Petoro 30.0%, and ConocoPhillips 9.1%.
