Citrix Systems Inc announced that for the second quarter of 2013, it expects net revenue to be in the range of $705 million to $715 million; other income is targeted to be approximately $1 million; GAAP diluted earnings per share is targeted to be in the range of $0.31 to $0.32. Non-GAAP diluted earnings per share is targeted to be in the range of $0.62 to $0.63, excluding $0.18 related to the effects of amortization of acquired intangible assets, $0.26 related to the effects of stock-based compensation expenses, and $(0.12) to $(0.14) for the tax effects related to these items. Cisco Systems Inc, International Business Machines Corp, Citrix Systems, Inc. And Others Team Up On New Technology Project-Reuters
Reuters reported that Cisco Systems Inc, International Business Machines Corp (IBM) and Citrix Systems Inc have joined forces with other tech companies in a consortium to kickstart the corporate market for software-defined networking (SDN), aimed at making network management easier and cheaper. Other members of the development platform called OpenDaylight include Juniper Networks, Inc., VMware Inc, Microsoft Corp, Red Hat, Inc., Intel Corp and Brocade Communications Systems Inc as well as privately held Big Switch Networks and Arista Networks. Each member will contribute technology such as code to the project in an effort to share the costs of basic research and development, and enable products from different vendors to work together. Vendors will still be able to customize their offerings to differentiate themselves from rivals. The SDN market is still considered nascent, but is expected to grow to $3.7 billion by 2016 from an estimated $360 million this year, according to research firm IDC. Citrix Systems Inc announced that for fiscal 2013, it expects net revenue to be in the range of $2.95-$2.98 billion, GAAP diluted earnings per share to be in the range of $1.91-$1.95, Non-GAAP diluted earnings per share to be in the range of $3.12-$3.15. Citrix Systems Inc Closes Acquisition Of Zenprise
Citrix Systems Inc announced that it has closed the acquisition of Zenprise, a innovator in mobile device management (MDM). As announced on December 5 2012, Citrix will integrate the Zenprise offering for mobile device management, with its Citrix CloudGateway and MeWork solutions for managing mobile apps and data. As a result, IT will have a comprehensive set of tools that make it easy to manage and secure devices, apps and data, while users will be able to access any app from any device, giving them the freedom to work and play anywhere. Amit Pandey, former Zenprise president and CEO will lead the new Mobile Platforms product group at Citrix. Citrix will continue to fully support and serve the Zenprise global customer base. Citrix Systems Inc Signs Definitive Agreement to Acquire MDM Leader Zenprise
Citrix Systems Inc announced it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Zenprise , innovator in mobile device management (MDM). Following the close of the acquisition, Citrix intends to integrate the Zenprise solution for mobile device management, with its Citrix CloudGateway and Me@Work solutions for managing mobile apps and data. This powerful combination will give Citrix the first solution in the industry for managing mobile devices, apps and data from a single, integrated enterprise mobility product line. This comprehensive approach can transform any organization into a truly mobile enterprise with the security and control IT requires, the ease of use and flexibility users desire, and the productivity business demands. CA Technologies And Citrix Systems Inc Announces Partnership
CA Technologies and Citrix Systems Inc announced that they are partnering to help enterprises and service providers increase agility and productivity by providing additional management and monitoring capabilities on top of Citrix cloud and desktop virtualization solutions. The first area of collaboration between the two companies focuses on leveraging CA Technologies management solutions to provide in-depth insight and control of public and private clouds built on Citrix Cloud Platform technologies. This focus will initially include CA Nimsoft Monitor support for Citrix CloudPlatform, powered by Apache CloudStack, and Citrix XenServer to provide performance and availability monitoring of remote, secured hosted cloud deployments. CA Automation Suite for Clouds support of Citrix CloudPlatform to offer self-service provisioning, orchestration and process automation, as well as metering and chargeback of infrastructure resources. CA Server Automation, embedded in CA Automation Suite for Clouds, supports XenServer orchestration. Citrix Systems Inc And NetApp Inc Collaborate To Simplify Cloud Storage
Citrix Systems Inc announced that the Company and NetApp Inc announced an extension of their current collaboration aimed at accelerating the adoption of enterprise cloud deployments. Together, Citrix and NetApp will provide a fully integrated cloud orchestration and storage solution that will address storage automation, resource allocation, and virtual machine backup and recovery. The move greatly simplifies cloud storage deployment for the companies' mutual customers and will result in faster transitions to private and hybrid clouds. These integrations between Citrix and NetApp technology will focus on NetApp OnCommand Unified Manager. Support in CitrixCloudPlatform and Apache CloudStack will automate the provisioning and administration of storage service offerings within the product's self-service portal, increasing agility while decreasing service deployment times based on policy-based resource allocation. NetApp plug-in for XenCenter empowers Citrix administrators to provision, deduplicate, resize, and delete storage repositories on NetApp storage.
