Cubic receives Contract to Support F-35 Air Combat Training

Cubic Corp:Receives a series of contracts from Lockheed Martin Aeronautics to produce and add enhancements to the Air Combat Training System (ACTS) of the F-35 fighter jet, also known as the Joint Strike Fighter.Unlike the wing-mounted pods used on fourth generation fighters, the F-35 version of the P5 Combat Training System (P5CTS) incorporates an internally mounted subsystem that enables the F-35 to maintain its stealth characteristics while training.Cubic and DRS Technologies, the principal subcontractor, are under a multimillion dollar contract to produce additional JSF P5 systems to support production aircraft.Two enhancements will be made to the system including an upgrade to make the ground subsystem compliant to Microsoft Windows 7 operating system and an upgrade of the encryption capability for the JSF P5 systems.  Full Article

Cubic Applications, Inc:Says it was one of three companies awarded firm fixed price, Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ) Multiple Award Task Order Contract (MATOC) to provide training, education and exercise assistance for the Army Capabilities Integration Center (ARCIC), Training and Doctrine Command.ARCIC IDIQ contract has an estimated completion date of Dec. 18, 2019, with a maximum value of $240 mln for all three ID/IQ awardees.ARCIC work will be performed at Fort Eustis, Virginia; Fort Bliss, Texas and Fort Leavenworth, Kansas.Cubic Applications, Inc. was also awarded first competed ARCIC ID/IQ Task Order to provide mission support services for the ARCIC Brigade Modernization Command (BMC).BMC work will be performed at Fort Bliss, Texas and Fort Eustis, Virginia and will commence on March 1, 2015 with an estimated completion date of Feb. 28, 2018.ARCIC develops concepts and capabilities, evaluates proposed Army modernization solutions and integrates those capabilities across doctrine, organizations, training, material, leadership and education, personnel and facilities (DOTMLPF).BMC conducts integration and evaluations of the network, non-network, and other developmental and emerging capabilities in order to provide DOTMLPF recommendations to the Army.Cubic Applications, Inc is an operating company of Mission Support Services business segment of Cubic Corporation.  Full Article

Cubic Corp:Says it was awarded a $12 mln contract amendment from the Canadian Department of National Defence for the initial phase of the Urban Operations Training System (UOTS) capability.UOTS complements the Weapon Effects Simulation (WES) force-on-force engagement training system deployed by Cubic in 2006 by adding an urban village training capability in several regions throughout Canada.Under this first phase, Cubic will complete the integration and validation tasks for the system instrumentation utilized in the UOTS environment.  Full Article
