Daimler AG:Says that at the annual shareholders meeting to be held on Apr. 9, the board of management and the supervisory board will propose the distribution of a dividend of 2.25 euros per share for fiscal year 2013.Says it paid a dividend of 2.20 euros per share for fiscal year 2012.Says the dividend distribution amounts to 2,407 million euros and is equivalent to 35 percent of the net profit attributable to the company’s shareholders.  Full Article

Daimler AG:Romanian subsidiary of Daimler AG, Star Transmission, opened a gearbox assembling unit for Mercedes-Benz vehicles, following an investment of nearly 40 million euros ($54.4 million)-SeeNews - The Corporate Wire.The assembling unit, which has an area of around 13,000 square meters, is located in Sebes, central Romania.Construction works on the facility lasted 10 months.The new unit employs 150 people who were trained in Germany for a year.Star Transmission operates another production unit in the country, in the central town of Cugir, which produces components for Mercedes-Benz car engines and transmissions.  Full Article

Lagardere SCA:Lagardere SCA and Daimler AG have been sent for trial in France for alleged insider trading in the sale of shares in aerospace and defense group EADS NV - Agence France Presse.According to judicial sources, a number of EADS NV's Airbus executives are also to face the trial, namely John Leahy, current COO for customers, Noel Forgeard, former Joint Chairman, Andreas Sperl, former Financial Director, Jean-Paul Gut, Alain Flourens, Erik Pillet and Olivier Andries.Lagardere SCA and Daimler AG are alleged to have sold 7.5 percent stakes in EADS NV in early 2006 in the knowledge that Airbus was encountering problems with the production of its A380 super jumbo aircraft.France's stock market regulator AMF carried out an investigation into the conduct of Lagardere SCA, Daimler AG and 17 EADS NV executives and concluded in 2009 that there was no evidence any of the shareholders had sought financial advantage through the illegal use of privileged information.APPAC, a group of small investors, subsequently registered a criminal complaint that led to a full-blown probe by examining magistrate.Lagardere SCA and Daimler AG both protest their innocence.  Full Article

Linde AG (Linde) announced that the six partners in the 'H2 Mobility' initiative, Air Liquide SA, Daimler AG, Linde, OMV AG, Royal Dutch Shell PLC's German Shell Holding and Total SA's Total Deutschland GmbH, have set up upon a specific action plan for the construction of a nationwide hydrogen refuelling network for fuel cell-powered electric vehicles. By the year 2023 the current network of 15 filling stations in Germany's public hydrogen infrastructure shall be expanded to about 400 H2 filling stations. As a first step the deployment of 100 hydrogen stations in Germany over the next four years is intended. This would ensure a need-related supply for fuel cell-powered electric vehicles to be introduced into the market in the next years. An agreement in principle has been signed by representatives of all the partners involved. In addition to plans for a nationwide filling station network, the agreement includes the principles for the procurement and distribution of the necessary hydrogen and a request for support to the German Federal Government. Following the foundation of a joint venture (subject to necessary regulatory approvals), gradual expansion of the national filling station network will commence next year. The 'H2 Mobility' initiative expects that a total investment of around EUR 350 million will be required for this project. The launch of fuel cell-powered production vehicles on the German market has been announced by first manufacturers for 2015.  Full Article

Renault SA-Nissan to Launch Car Based on Technology from Daimler AG's Mercedes-La Tribune

La Tribune reported that Renault SA-Nissan is to launch a compact sedan based around technology from Daimler AG's Mercedes. The Infiniti Q30 Concept will be launched in September at the Frankfurt motor show. Daimler AG's Mercedes-AMG GmbH And Aston Martin Lagonda Ltd. To Enter Technical Partnership

Daimler AG announced that its subsidiary Mercedes-AMG GmbH and Aston Martin Lagonda Ltd. intend to enter a technical partnership. A corresponding Letter of Intent has been signed. Essential elements of the planned partnership are supply agreements between Mercedes-AMG, Mercedes-Benz Cars and Aston Martin. Mercedes-AMG will supply Aston Martin with engines, while Mercedes-Benz Cars will provide the British luxury sports car manufacturer with e/e (electric/electronic) components for Aston Martin's future models. In addition to those agreements, Daimler will receive up to 5% equity in Aston Martin without cash consideration in several steps following the progress of the technical partnership. At the same time, the Company will receive an observer status in the Board of Management of Aston Martin. Based on the Letter of Intent, both parties have the intention to work towards signing of definitive agreements during the second half of the year. German workers warn auto bosses not to compromise rights in TTIP
