E Commerce China Dangdang Inc Lowers Q3 2013 Revenue Guidance; Issues Q3 2013 Net Income Guidance Above Analysts' Estimates

E Commerce China Dangdang Inc announced that for the third quarter of 2013, it estimates total net revenue would be in the range of RMB 1.520-RMB 1.530 billion, instead of the previously forecasted amount of around RMB 1.584 billion. This change from the previous forecast was primarily due to the Company's decision to reduce sales of certain lower margin products and focus more on bottom line performance. The estimated net loss would be in the range of RMB 27.0-RMB 29.0 million, as compared with losses of RMB 100.1 million and RMB 63.9 million in the third quarter of 2012 and second quarter of 2013, respectively. According to I/B/E/S Estimates, analysts are expecting the Company to report revenue of RMB1.594 billion and net income of $(62.44) million for the third quarter of 2013.  Full Article
