Dow Jones reported that European Aeronautic Defence and Space Company EADS NV's Eurocopter said it has won an order for 17 of its EC135 helicopters from Turkey's THK Gokcen Aviation. EADS NV's Cassidian CyberSecurity to Acquire Arkoon Network Security SA
EADS NV announced that its subsidiary Cassidian CyberSecurity signed an agreement to become the main shareholder of Arkoon Network Security SA. The share purchase agreement dated 26 April 2013 concerns the sale of approximately 83.9% of Arkoon Network Security shares to Cassidian CyberSecurity at a maximum price of EUR 3.25 per share. The planned transaction concerns all the shares held by the main financial shareholders of Arkoon Network Security SA. Subject to completion of the transaction, which should, in principle, take place in May 2013, and after effective transfer of the shares from the main shareholders of Arkoon Network Security SA as listed above, and taking account of the loss of the double voting rights from which some of the shares benefitted, Cassidian CyberSecurity will hold approximately 83.9% of the capital and voting rights of Arkoon Network Security SA. Consequently, Cassidian CyberSecurity will submit a simplified tender offer (OPAS) followed, if applicable, by a mandatory squeeze-out procedure should, subsequent to the OPAS, Cassidian CyberSecurity hold more than 95% of the share capital and voting rights of Arkoon Network Security SA, for all the outstanding Arkoon Network Security SA shares and voting rights. For both tender offer and mandatory squeeze-out procedure, the price per Arkoon Network Security share will be equal to the price per share paid during the above-mentioned operation. Full Article

EADS NV's Airbus and IBM Work Together on Fleet Solution Offerings
EADS NV announced that Airbus and IBM are working together to transform Airbus’ fleet solution offerings, which will provide airlines and operators with advanced IT services for maintenance, engineering and flight operations. “Airbus Smarter Fleet Solutions” (ASFS) will initially focus on two activities: Firstly, it will integrate and also further develop Airbus’ current portfolio of software products (“e-solutions”). Presently, the latter comprise an range of standalone applications, which are accessed via a variety of online and offline media, and are used by about 200 operators. Secondly, ASFS will provide fleet data management using an open, modular and flexible platform. This service will give customers visibility to plan ahead for smooth operations. Daimler AG Raises EUR 2.2 Billion by Selling Stake in EADS NV-L'Agefi Quotidien
L'Agefi Quotidien reported that Daimler AG has completed the sale of its stake in EADS NV for approximately EUR 2.2 billion. Daimler AG sold 61.1 million EADS shares at EUR 37 per share. EADS NV repurchased 1.95% of its capital from Daimler AG for EUR 600 million. Full Article
EADS NV's Cassidian Wins Maintenance Contract for Swedish Nationwide Radio Communications Network Rakel
EADS NV announced that its subsidiary Cassidian has signed a seven-year system maintenance contract with the Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency (MSB) for the Rakel nationwide radio communications network. The contract includes 3rd line support, a hardware repair service and the supply of TETRA system equipment and software, and will be effective from April 1, 2015. Daimler AG Begins Sale Of Remaining Stake In EADS NV-Reuters
Reuters reported that Daimler AG has begun selling its remaining stake in Airbus owner EADS NV on april 16, 2013 as part of a wider overhaul of the European aerospace group's core ownership nearly 13 years after its creation. Daimler said that it received a waiver from a six-month lock-up period and would immediately begin placing with investors 61.1 million shares, equivalent to a 7.5% stake in EADS. Full Article
