Enel Green Power SpA's Enel Green Power North America, Inc. Signs Agreements to Reach 75% Ownership of Chisholm View and Prairie Rose Wind Farms
Enel Green Power SpA announced that its subsidiary, Enel Green Power North America, Inc. (EGP-NA), signed an agreement to purchase an additional 26% of the Class A interests in Chisholm View Wind Project, LLC, the company operating the 235 MW Chisholm View wind farm from EFS Chisholm, LLC, a GE Capital subsidiary, for approximately USD 47 million. At the same time, EGP-NA signed an agreement to purchase an additional 26% of the Class A interests of Prairie Rose Wind Project LLC, the company operating the 200 MW Prairie Rose wind farm from EFS Prairie Rose, LLC, a GE Capital subsidiary, for approximately USD 34 million. The option to purchase the additional interests was provided for in the original agreements between EGP-NA and GE Capital subsidiaries. The transactions will be closed following approval by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission. After closing, EGP-NA will own 75% of the Class A interests of both companies operating the wind farms, while GE Capital subsidiaries will remain as an investor with a 25% stake. Full Article
Enel Green Power SpA Issues FY 2013 and FY 2017 EBITDA Guidance In-Line With Analysts' Estimates; Issues FY 2015 EBITDA Guidance Above Analysts' Estimates
Enel Green Power SpA announced that, as part of its 2013-2017 Business Plan presented to the Financial Community on April 16, 2013, the Company has issued its quantitative targets for the period and EBITDA guidance for fiscal year 2013, 2015 and 2017. The Company expects to report for fiscal year 2013 EBITDA of approximately EUR 1.8 billion, for fiscal year 2015 EBITDA of approximately EUR 2.4 billion and for fiscal year 2017 EBITDA in between EUR 2.5 billion and EUR 2.7 billion. According to I/B/E/S Estimates, analysts on average are expecting the Company to report for fiscal year 2013 EBITDA of EUR 1,796.37 million, for fiscal year 2015 EBITDA of EUR 2,146.08 million and for fiscal year 2017 EBITDA of EUR 2,497.00 million. Enel Green Power SpA's Enel Green Power North America Inc Finalizes Equity Partnership Agreement With GE Capital's EFS Buffalo Dunes LLC
Enel Green Power SpA announced the closing of an equity partnership agreement between EFS Buffalo Dunes, LLC, a subsidiary of GE Capital, and its subsidiary Enel Green Power North America, Inc. for the development of the Buffalo Dunes wind project located in Grant, Haskell and Finney Counties in Kansas. Total equity investment required to build the Buffalo Dunes wind project amounts to an approximate USD 370 million, of which Enel Green Power North America will contribute an approximate USD 180 million. The project, which is expected to be completed by the end of 2013, will have a total installed capacity of 250 MW and is supported by a long term power purchase agreement . Once fully operational, Buffalo Dunes will generate up to 1 TWh of clean energy per year, therefore avoiding the annual emission of more than 800,000 tonnes of CO2 into the atmosphere. Under the terms of the agreement, EFS Buffalo Dunes will invest approximately USD 40 million for the acquisition of a 51% stake in the project from Enel Green Power North America Inc and fund construction, whereas the latter will retain the remaining 49% stake. Enel Green Power North America Inc, which will also serve as project manager, has an option to further increase its stake by 26% of the Buffalo Dunes equity on specific dates in 2013 and 2014. Enel Green Power SpA's Wind Farm in Chile Enters Service
Enel Green Power SpA announced that it has connected to the grid the Company's wind farm in Chile, located in Talinay (region of Coquimbo). The Talinay wind farm has an installed capacity of 90 MW and will be able to generate up to 200 million kWh per year once fully operational. The new plant, designed and developed by Danish company Vestas, is comprised of forty-five 2 MW wind turbines also built by Vestas. Construction of the Talinay plant required a total of, approximately, USD 165 million. Full Article
Enel Green Power SpA Starts Construction on Bagnore 4 Geothermal Power Plant in Tuscany
Enel Green Power SpA announced that it has broken ground for the construction of the Bagnore 4 geothermal power plant, located in the municipalities of Santa Fiora and Arcidosso, in the province of Grosseto (Tuscany). The project calls for the construction of two 20 MW turbines, for a total installed capacity of 40 MW. Once completed, the plant will be able to generate up to 310 million kWh of electricity per year, thereby saving 70,000 TOE (tonnes of oil equivalent). The new plant, designed to fit into the surrounding environment, will join the 20 MW Bagnore 3 plant. The construction of Bagnore 4 will require a total investment of, approximately, EUR 120 million. Enel Green Power SpA Proposes Dividend for FY 2012
Enel Green Power SpA announced that it the Ordinary Shareholders’ Meeting has been called to approve the statutory financial statements and to examine the consolidated financial statements for 2012, and to approve the distribution of a dividend for the fiscal year 2012 of EUR 0.0259 per share. Therefore, the total dividend to be paid out for 2012 amounts to EUR 129.5 million out of Group net ordinary income of EUR 431 million, in line with the announced dividend policy, as from 2010, to pay out no less than 30% of consolidated net income. Paris Court Of Appeals Upholds International Court Of Arbitration Ruling In Favour Of Enel Green Power SpA In Lageo Case
Enel Green Power SpA announced that the Paris Court of Appeals upheld the ruling of the Court of Arbitration of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) regarding the international arbitration proceeding undertaken by Enel Green Power SpA against Inversiones Energeticas (INE), its partner in LaGeo, a joint venture for the development of geothermal energy in El Salvador. The Paris Court rejected the appeal lodged by INE to void the ruling in favour of Enel Green Power SpA, confirming that the judgment had been issued following a fair trial. The Court of Appeals’ decision reaffirms Enel Green Power SpA’s right to consider investments in LaGeo as contributions to capital through the subscription of newly issued shares of the joint venture. Enel Green Power SpA Announces Three New Wind Farms Enter Service in Romania
Enel Green Power SpA announced that it has connected to the grid the three new wind farms of Elcomex EOL (Zephir I), Targusor (Zephir II) and Gebelesis, located in the Dobrogea region of Romania, for a total installed capacity of 206 MW. Once fully operational, the new wind farms will be able to generate about 560 million kWh of energy each year. The Elcomex EOL wind farm is comprised of fifty-two wind turbines of 2.3 MW each for a total installed capacity of around 120 MW. Once fully operational, the new wind farm will be able to generate around 340 million kWh of energy each year. The Targusor wind farm is comprised of twenty-six wind turbines of 2.3 MW each for a total installed capacity of around 60 MW. Once fully operational, it will be able to generate more than 170 million kWh of energy per year. The Gebelesis wind farm, in northern Dobrogea, is comprised of five wind turbines of 3 MW each and six wind turbines of 2 MW each for a total installed capacity of 27 MW. Once fully operational, it will be able to generate around 50 million kWh of energy each year. A total of approximately EUR 340 million was invested in constructing these wind farms. Full Article
Enel Green Power SpA Starts Construction of New Wind Farm in Chile
Enel Green Power announced that it has started construction of the Valle de Los Vientos wind plant in the region II of Antofagasta in Chile. The new plant will comprise 45 wind turbines of 2 MW each, for a total installed capacity of approximately 90 MW. Once in operation, the Valle de Los Vientos plant will be able to generate more than 200 GWh a year, avoiding the atmospheric emission of more than 165,000 tonnes of CO2. Enel Green Power SpA's Subsidiary Signs Loan Agreement with Inter-American Development Bank
Enel Green Power SpA announced that through its subsidiary Impulsora Nacional de Electricidad S. de R.L. de C.V., has signed a loan agreement with the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) for 988 million Mexican pesos, equivalent to approximately USD 76 million, to cover part of the investment in the Bii Nee Stipa II wind farm in Mexico.
