Verizon Wireless To Enhance 4G LTE Network Using Ericsson's Small Cell Product
Ericsson and Verizon Wireless announced that they will be partnering to begin the deployment of small cells in the operator's 4G LTE network this year. Adding small cells will help increase the capacity in Verizon's 4G LTE network, enabling it to continue providing reliable mobile broadband service to its customers. The small cell deployment is the latest step in Ericsson's ongoing cooperation with Verizon as the operator rolls-out its 4G LTE nationwide network. Small cell deployment is a key part of Ericsson's heterogeneous network strategy. By integrating small cells as part of the macro mobile network, operators can cost effectively provide increased network capacity and improved coverage. NKT Holding A/S to Acquire Ericsson’s Power Cable Operations through NKT Cables
NKT Holding A/S announced that NKT Cables has signed a conditional purchase agreement with Ericsson concerning an acquisition of Ericsson’s power cable operations (Energy Business). The transaction is subject to relevant regulatory approval and is expected to be completed at the beginning of Q3 2013. The total consideration amounts to SEK 250 million, equivalent to approximately DKK 220 million (enterprise value). Ericsson’s Energy Business is a supplier of medium voltage products to the Nordic utility groups. The company realized revenue in market prices of approximately DKK 1.3 billion in 2012. Cellular One Selects Ericsson to Upgrade and Expand Network
Ericsson announced that it has been selected by Cellular One to upgrade its entire network to 3G and expand its existing number of base stations by 50%. Ericsson will also deploy its MINI-LINK microwave products to provide increased backhaul capacity. The upgrade will result in increased coverage within previously underserved areas across northeast Arizona and New Mexico, with some areas receiving a 4G upgrade. Having secured the critical spectrum required to roll out 3G and 4G services through a recent trade deal, Cellular One is now pushing ahead with an aggressive expansion plan. The upgraded network will offer superior 21 Mbps service to customers who only have access to 2G speeds. Ericsson will overlay 3G WCDMA and replace Cellular One's existing 2G network. Ericsson will install base station controllers, radio network controllers and multi-standard base stations based on Ericsson's RBS6000 family. The 4G capable backhaul solution includes MINI-LINK TN for flexible and scalable network expansion and MINI-LINK LH for high capacity trunk radio. Ericsson Transforms Orange France Network to 4G

E.ON Elnat Sverige AB Selects Ericsson as Hosted Solution provider-DJ
Dow Jones reported that E.ON Elnat Sverige AB has chosen Ericsson to provide a hosted solution including consulting and systems integration services, harnessing big data and smart grid solutions for its customers. Ericsson's solution will gather data from energy meters and provide collected data to E.ON's internal IT environment. Data will be exported daily rather than monthly, increasing data delivery by 3000%. Ericsson will also provide E.ON with related field services. Ericsson announced that its Annual General Meeting (AGM) approved a dividend of SEK 2.75 per share for the fiscal year 2012. The record day for dividend was set to April 12, 2013.
