Ericsson receives new order in Taiwan

Ericsson:Says Far EasTone, telecommunications operator in Taiwan, has announced that it has chosen Ericsson as its LTE supplier.Ericsson will provide hardware, software and support services, rolling out multi-access RAN and core network for both 3G and 4G services, as well as assisting with network optimization.Agreement will see the LTE network rolled out nationwide, giving Far EasTone customers speeds of up to 150 Mbps/50 Mbps (downlink/uplink) with 20 MHz LTE frequency bandwidth for smartphone and mobile broadband use.To speed up the network rollout, 700 and 1800 MHz bands will both be supported.Deal will also see implementation of Ericsson's 4G CBS (Cell Broadcast System) which will enable Taiwanese government and consumers to avail of disaster warning services.  Full Article

Ericsson:Says Finnish operator DNA has chosen Ericsson as the sole supplier for its nationwide LTE 800 MHz network.The assignment also includes improving DNA's existing 4G, 3G and 2G networks.Will deploy multi-standard RBS 6000 family of base stations and network management solutions and provide network rollout services such as installation, civil works, integration, commissioning and associated project management.Will additionally provide support for software and hardware, spare parts management services and initial tuning.No financial details.  Full Article
