Guggenheim Strategic Opportunities Fund Announces Pricing Of Public Offering of Common Shares

Guggenheim Strategic Opportunities Fund announced the pricing of a public offering of common shares. The Fund agreed to sell a total of 1,500,000 common shares (exclusive of 225,000 common shares that the underwriters may purchase pursuant to a 45-day option to cover over-allotments) at a price of $20.35 per share. Net proceeds, before deduction of offering expenses, from the offering of approximately $29.3 million will be used to make additional portfolio investments that are consistent with the Fund’s investment objective and for general corporate purposes. The offering is scheduled to close on January 31, 2012. Citigroup, Morgan Stanley and RBC Capital Markets are acting as book running managers for the offering. Guggenheim Strategic Opportunities Fund announced that it has commenced a public offering of 1,500,000 common shares pursuant to the Fund’s effective shelf registration statement filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (the SEC). The Fund also intends to grant the underwriters a 45-day option to purchase up to 225,000 additional common shares to cover over-allotments, if any. Net proceeds of the offering will be used to make additional portfolio investments that are consistent with the Fund’s investment objective and for general corporate purposes.
