GP Strategies Corp Secures Contract
GP Strategies Corp announced that it has been awarded a base contract with three option years with the Defense Security Service (DSS), an agency of the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD), to provide continued support for their SumTotal Learning Management System (LMS) known as the Security Training, Education and Professionalization Portal (STEPP). GP Strategies is the incumbent DSS STEPP services provider and has been delivering professional consulting and technical services support to DSS since 2009. GP Strategies Corp Completes BlessingWhite Acquisition
GP Strategies Corp announced that it has completed its previously announced acquisition of BlessingWhite, a provider of leadership development and employee engagement solutions that translate business strategies into results for its customers by developing more effective leaders and more engaged workforces. The purchase price at closing, net of cash acquired, was approximately $10 million, which was paid by GP Strategies using cash on hand and borrowings under its revolving credit facility. There is no earnout associated with the acquisition. GP Strategies anticipates that the acquired business will be accretive to earnings per share. GP Strategies Corp Acquires Rovsing Dynamics
GP Strategies Corp announced that it has completed its acquisition of operating assets of Rovsing Dynamics, provider of vibration condition monitoring hardware and software. The Rovsing Dynamics technologies enable owners and operators of rotating machinery to manage equipment downtime by providing early detection of developing faults. GP Strategies Corp announced that it has signed an agreement to acquire BlessingWhite, a provider of leadership development and employee engagement solutions that translate business strategies into results for its customers by developing more effective leaders and more engaged workforces. The transaction is expected to close within the next 30 days. Under the terms of the agreement, the purchase price is approximately $10 million. GP Strategies expects to pay for the acquisition using cash on hand, and, if necessary, borrowing under its $50 million revolving credit facility. GP Strategies Corp. Receives Blanket Purchase Agreement By US Department Of Health And Human Services
GP Strategies Corp. announced that it has been awarded a Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) by the US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). The BPA will allow GP Strategies to continue to provide support for the HHS University (HHSU) Learning Management System (LMS), including hosting, Tier 2 helpdesk and technical support for over 120,000 users. GP Strategies estimates that the BPA has a value of approximately $3 million if all currently ordered services are continued for the base period and three option years, with the potential for greater value if additional services are ordered. GP Strategies was contracted to implement the HHS LMS in 2007 and has been providing application, hosting and helpdesk support since the system went live. GP Strategies Corp. and KEPCO Plant Services and Engineering Company, Ltd. (KEPCO KPS), a subsidiary of Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO), have entered into a license agreement making available to KEPCO KPS the latest generation of GP Strategies' GPM PRO maintenance technician training course materials. KEPCO KPS, one of the power plant service companies, will use GPM PRO maintenance training course materials to train mechanical, electrical and I&C technicians to service KEPCO KPS power generation plants in Korea and to support the start-up of four nuclear power plants in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). General Physics Corporation (GP), the operating subsidiary of GP Strategies Corporation announced that its Homeland Security, Defense and Emergency Management team was awarded a contract by the U.S. Army's Pine Bluff Arsenal to provide Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear and Explosives (CBRNE) detection, protection and decontamination equipment sustainment training and technical assistance for firefighting, medical and law enforcement personnel located on U.S. Army military installations worldwide. GP Strategies Corp.'s General Physics Corporation Awarded Tennessee Homeland Security Program Contract
General Physics Corporation (GP), a subsidiary of GP Strategies Corp., announced that it has been awarded a contract, valued at $2.9 million, by the State of Tennessee, Department of Safety Office of Homeland Security, to implement their Comprehensive Homeland Security Exercise Program. Under this contract, GP will research, plan/develop, facilitate, and conduct a series of seminars, workshops, tabletop exercises, drills, and functional and full-scale exercises for state and local jurisdictions as defined by Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Homeland Security Exercise and Evaluation Program (HSEEP) guidelines. GP will work in partnership with the Tennessee Department of Health, Office of Homeland Security, and the Tennessee Emergency Management Agency to provide assistance to local governments, state partners, and additional first response agencies to validate plans, update procedures, and enhance training. The contract calls for conducting 59 exercises across Tennessee's 11 Homeland Security Districts over the next 27 months. Full Article
