State sells GDF Suez shares at bottom of price range-Reuters

GDF Suez SA:French state has raised about 1.5 billion euros with sale of 3.1 pct stake in GDF Suez-Reuters.Government did not specify at which price the 75 million shares had been sold, but traders said they had been placed with institutional investors at 20.18 euros per share, which corresponds to just over 1.51 billion euros.According to terms of the placement seen by Reuters, shares had been offered overnight in price range of 20.18 to 20.81 euros.Following placement, state will have a 33.6 percent stake in GDF Suez.  Full Article

GDF Suez SA:France has agreed to sell 3.1 pct stake in gas utility GDF Suez-Reuters.Could sell as much as 3.6 pct in order to finance the acquisition of a state participation in engineering group Alstom, the government said.Finance and economy ministries said in joint statement French state, via public holding firm APE, had agreed to sell 75 million GDF Suez shares and has an overallotment option to sell as many as 86 million shares in an accelerated institutional placement.Based on June 24 20.81 euro closing price, operation would yield French state between 1.56 and 1.79 billion euros.Sale will leave French state - lead shareholder in GDF Suez with 36.71 pct stake - with residual stake of around 33.6 pct.  Full Article

Santos and GDF SUEZ:Says the Bonaparte LNG project will consider other potential development options in addition to the floating LNG concept to develop the Petrel, Tern and Frigate natural gas fields, located 250 kilometres offshore west of Darwin.These options will include a pipeline connection to Darwin.Consequently, the proposed Bonaparte floating LNG project will not be taken into the front-end engineering and design (FEED) phase at this point in time.Santos received a cash consideration of $200 mln when the Bonaparte LNG joint venture was formed, and has received a full carry on study and development costs by GDF SUEZ.  Full Article
