Hong Leong Bank Berhad Incorporates Hong Leong Bank (Cambodia) PLC

Hong Leong Bank Berhad announced that the Company has received the Certificate of Incorporation from the Ministry of Commerce, Cambodia, certifying that Hong Leong Bank (Cambodia) PLC (HLBCAM) had been incorporated on February 18, 2013. The National Bank of Cambodia had on January 11, 2013, granted Approval in Principle to the Company to incorporate and operate a 100% wholly owned, locally incorporated commercial bank subsidiary in Cambodia. The capital of HLBCAM is USD 37,500,000 which is approximately equivalent to MYR 116,175,000. HLBCAM will commence operations in Cambodia within six months from the date of issuance of the Approval in Principle.
