Healthlease Properties Real Estate Investment Trust Closing CAD69.0 Million Equity Financing

Healthlease Properties Real Estate Investment Trust announced the closing of previously announced public offering of 6,670,000 trust units (Units), inclusive of 870,000 Units issued pursuant to the exercise in full of the over-allotment option, on a bought deal basis, at a price of CAD10.35 per Unit for total gross proceeds of CAD69,034,500. The Offering was conducted through a syndicate of underwriters led by Canaccord Genuity Corp., National Bank Financial Inc. and BMO Capital Markets, and including CIBC World Markets Inc., Scotia Capital Inc., Dundee Securities Ltd., GMP Securities L.P. and Raymond James Ltd. Canaccord Genuity Corp. and National Bank Financial Inc. acted as joint-bookrunners for the Offering. HealthLease intends to use the net proceeds from the Offering to partially fund the previously announced acquisition (the Acquisition) of 13 senior housing and care facilities located in North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Virginia totalling 978 beds, and for general trust purposes.
