Harris Corp Receives $40 Million Order To Provide Falcon Tactical Radios To Royal Brunei Armed Forces
Harris Corp announced that it has received a $40 million order for Falcon tactical radios from the Royal Brunei Armed Forces. The radios will be part of a broader tactical communications system. Harris will supply Brunei's military with several different models from its Falcon III family. The radios provide high-performance line-of-sight and beyond-line-of-sight voice and data communications, including wideband networking. Harris Corp announced that Spotsylvania County, Virginia, has awarded the Company a $19 million contract to replace its existing public safety radio system with one that improves its coverage area and is based on the latest technology standards. The new system will improve communications for law enforcement, fire service and Emergency Medical Service (EMS) personnel who serve one of Virginia`s counties. Harris Corp Issues Q3 2013 Guidance Below Analysts' Estimates; Lowers FY 2013 Guidance
Harris Corp announced that for the third quarter of 2013, it expects income from continuing operations to be approximately $1.12 per diluted share and revenue to be approximately $1.20 billion. For fiscal 2013, it expects income from continuing operations to reduced from a previous range of $5.00 to $5.20 per diluted share to a range of $4.60 to $4.70, excluding charges related to restructuring and other actions ($3.95 to $4.33 per diluted share on a GAAP basis) and revenue is expected to decline 6% to 7% compared to fiscal 2012.
