Toshiba Tec Corporation Completes Acquisition of Retail Store Business from International Business Machines Corporation; to Establish New Subsidiaries
Toshiba Tec Corporation announced that it has completed to acquire the retail store solution business from International Business Machines Corporation on August 1, 2012. Along with this deal, Toshiba Tec Corporation will also establish a holding subsidiary in Japan. Toshiba Tec Corporation will invest an 80.1% stake in the Japan-based subsidiary and IBM Taiwan Holdings B.V. will hold the other 19.9%. The Japan-based subsidiary will also establish subsidiaries in four other countries.
