Dow Jones reported that Bank of Ireland has agreed to sell a portfolio of loans with total commitments of EUR0.27 billion to Danish pension fund PensionDanmark and confirmed that it has now achieved its divestment target of EUR10 billion of international loans. The Company agreed to sell a portfolio of U.K. Infrastructure Project Finance loans to PensionDanmark for a price of 83.5% of the commitments. Bank of Ireland Announces Sale of Project Finance Loans
Bank of Ireland announced that it has agreed to sell a portfolio of UK Infrastructure Project Finance loans, with total drawn and undrawn commitments of circa EUR0.2 billion to Aviva Special PFI LP, an investment vehicle established and managed by Aviva Investors, for a price of 81% of these commitments. The cash proceeds from this loan portfolio sale will further reduce the Bank's funding requirements, in line with the Bank's deleveraging plans and will have a broadly neutral impact on the Group's Core Tier1 ratio. The Northern Trust Corporation Completes Acquisition Of Bank Of Ireland Securities Services From Bank of Ireland
The Northern Trust Corporation announced closing of its acquisition of Bank of Ireland Securities Services (Bliss) from the Bank of Ireland Group. Northern Trust had announced its intention to acquire the fund administration, investment operations outsourcing and custody business of the Bank of Ireland Group on February 24, 2011. Under the terms of the all cash agreement, Northern Trust will pay up to EUR60 million (approximately USD82 million) to acquire BoISS. Full Article

Kennedy-Wilson Holdings, Inc. announced the acquisition of Bank of Ireland Real Estate Investment Management (BOI REIM), a business that manages commercial real estate on behalf of Bank of Ireland clients. The acquisition, carried out in conjunction with BOI REIM's senior management, will see the establishment of a new entity, Kennedy Wilson Europe. The Company will operate from Dublin and London and serve as the base for Kennedy Wilson to develop its asset management and real estate investment business throughout Europe. Bank of Ireland loses 30 mln-pound UK tax case
LONDON, April 23 - A British tax tribunal has rejected an attempt by Bank of Ireland (BoI) to avoid 30 million pounds ($46 million) in corporation tax by transferring a financial contract between subsidiaries, the UK tax authority said on Tuesday.
