Irkutskenergo OAO Plans to Complete New Steel Plant by 2015-Interfax

Interfax reported that Irkutskenergo OAO plans to begin operation of a steel mill in Angarsk, Irkutsk region, by 2015, the Company said in a press release. The plant, which will cost an estimated RUB 6 billion, will have capacity to produce 260,000 tons of steel products a year. Irkutskenergo OAO expects to recoup its investment in seven years. The preliminary feasibility study has already been completed. The plant will employ 200-400 people and manufacture mainly construction rebar from scrap and other steel fabricated parts.
