Microsoft Corp:Sued Kyocera Corp for patent infringement on March 6, alleging the Japanese company's Duraforce, Hydro and Brigadier cell phone lines violate seven Microsoft patents - Reuters.Microsoft asked a Seattle federal judge to impose a U.S. sales injunction against Kyocera's infringing products, according to the lawsuit.In its lawsuit, Microsoft accuses Kyocera of using patented technology including location services and text messaging.  Full Article

Kyocera Corp:Says that Kyocera Corp, Century Tokyo Leasing Corp and Ciel et Terre International will begin construction this month on a floating solar installation.Says that Kyocera TCL Solar LLC will develop and operate utility-scale floating solar power plants utilizing Ciel et Terre's Hydrelio floating solar platforms in two installations, totaling 2.9 megawatts at Nishihira Pond and Higashihira Pond in Kato City, Hyogo Prefecture, Japan.Says that Kyocera TCL Solar LLC is a jointly established company by Kyocera Corp and Century Tokyo Leasing Corp.Says under the business, Century Tokyo Leasing Corp will provide finance for the installations, and the Kyocera Group will undertake the supply of solar modules and related equipment in addition to construction, maintenance and operation.Says Ciel et Terre will be responsible for the supply of floating solar platforms as well as technical input for installing the systems on water.  Full Article

KYOCERA CORP to Offer M2M Modules in Europe Via Tie-Up with Unit of Telenor ASA- Nikkei

Nikkei reported that KYOCERA CORP will begin European marketing of wireless technology modules for use in machine-to-machine communications, with exports starting by year-end. The Company will ally with Telenor Connexion, a unit of Norwegian mobile phone company Telenor ASA that provides M2M services in Europe and North America. KYOCERA will develop radio modules for transferring data on three-generation (3G) and long term evolution (LTE) networks in the European market. These modules will be recommended to Telenor's M2M customers. Sales are targeted at JPY 10 billion, or at least 1 million units, in 2015.  Full Article

KYOCERA CORP announced that it will pay a mid-term dividend of JPY 80.00 per share (JPY 14,675 million in total) for fiscal year ending March 2014, compared with the latest dividend forecast of an undetermined value, to all the shareholders as a record of September 30, 2013, effective December 5, 2013. The Company also amended its year-end dividend forecast from an undetermined value to JPY 40.00 per share, for the same fiscal year. The Company has raised its full-year consolidated outlook for revenue from JPY 1,400,000 million to JPY 1,430,000 million, and reaffirmed its full-year consolidated outlook for operating profit of JPY 140,000 million, net profit of JPY 150,000 million, for the fiscal year ending March 2014.
