Business Standard reported that Larsen & Toubro Ltd's L&T Construction said that it has new secured orders worth INR1,009 crore (INR10.09 billion) in the month of November and December so far. Out of this, the building and factories business got orders worth INR852 crore (INR8.52 billion) for the design and construction of an IT campus facility on NCR region of Delhi and also for the construction of multistoried residential towers in Bengaluru. The Company also said that its metallurgical and minerals handling business in consortium LUET China has received an order valued at INR206 crore (INR2.06 billion) from SAIL for rebuilding and construction of a coke oven battery at Durgapur Steel Plant in West Bengal. Larsen & Toubro Ltd Bags Orders Worth INR1,002 Crore (INR10.02 Billion)-Business Standard
Business Standard reported that Larsen & Toubro Ltd has bagged orders worth INR1,002 crore (INR10.02 billion) across business segments from both, domestic and international markets in last one month. L&T Construction has secured a slew of new orders valued over INR1,002 crore (INR10.02 billion) across various business segments in November and till date in December 2012. Among the orders, the Company secured INR742 crore (INR7.42 billion) orders in the power transmission and distribution business, including a major order secured in Qatar for setting up of a 220 kV, 515 MVA cable system and for the construction of a 220/66/11 kV substation. Besides, it won an EPC (Engineering, Procurement and Construction) order from Tamil Nadu Transmission Corporation and a turnkey order from West Bengal State Electricity Transmission Company for construction of seven transmission lines in West Bengal. The Economic Times reported that Larsen & Toubro Ltd said it has bagged an order worth INR732 crore (INR7.32 billion) from the Nuclear Power Corporation (NPCIL) for the Rajasthan atomic power project. The Group's wholly-owned subsidiary L&T Power has secured the order in which the Company will have to supply, install and commission the balance of turbine island package for two new 700 mw capacity units--7 and 8--at the power plant in Kota in Rajasthan, a statement issued here said. Dolphin Energy Awards $250 Million Contract To Larsen & Toubro Ltd-Business Standard
Business Standard reported that Dolphin Energy has awarded a $250 million engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract to Larsen & Toubro to upgrade a gas plant in Qatar. Under the deal, Larsen & Toubro will install three new Rolls Royce Trent gas turbine compressors and related facilities at the processing plant at Ras Laffan. Larsen & Toubro Ltd Led Joint Venture Secures INR12.52 Billion Worth Delhi Metro Contract
Larsen & Toubro Ltd announced that the infrastructure IC of the Company has bagged a major order worth INR1252 crores (INR12.52 billion) from Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC). The order will be executed as a joint venture with Shanghai Urban Construction Group (SUGC). The joint venture will design and construct a tunnel between Shankar Vihar and Hauz Khas as well as underground stations at Vasant Vihar, Munirka, R.K. Puram, IIT and Hauz Khas. L&T Constructions' share in the project is INR852 crores (INR8.52 billion). Another recent order includes a INR644 crores (INR6.44 billion) contract secured by the Buildings and factories IC for construction of a permanent campus facility for IIT, Hyderabad.
