Larsen & Toubro Ltd:Says itss construction arm had won orders worth 15.76 billion Indian rupees across various segments in Oct.Says of these, the Power Transmission & Distribution Business had secured new orders worth 11.64 billion Indian rupees, including one from the Madhyanchal Vidyut Vitaran Nigam Limited under the R-APDRP scheme.Says the scope includes construction of 33/11kV substations, renovation and modernization of existing substations, 11kV distribution lines, distribution transformer centres, underground cabling, installation of ring main units and electronic energy meters.Says the business also bagged an order from the West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Limited.Says the scope includes the supply, erection, testing and commissioning of a 33/11kV power distribution network.Says which is for augmenting rural electricity infrastructure and household electrification for prospective consumers covering the districts of Nadia, 24 Parganas (North) and Cooch Behar in the state of West Bengal under 12th Plan of RGGVY Scheme.  Full Article

Larsen & Toubro Ltd:Says that Transportation Infrastructure Business of L&T Construction has won EPC order worth 16.300 billion Indian rupees from Uttar Pradesh Expressways Industrial Development Authority.Greenfield order is for construction of six-lane access controlled expressways from Unnao district (village Neval) to Lucknow.LELT's scope includes design, engineering and construction of the 63km long expressway, including construction of service roads.Contract includes major structures like 18 VUPs (Vehicular Under passes), four major bridges, 10 minor bridges, 26 pedestrian underpasses, one trumpet interchange and associated works.Project is scheduled to be completed within 36 months.  Full Article

Larsen & Toubro Ltd:Says it has won new orders worth 14.230 bln Indian rupees (1,423 crores rupees) across various business segments in Sept. 2014.Says Heavy Civil Infrastructure business has bagged a 6.31 bln rupees prestigious order from the Lucknow Metro Rail Corporation Limited for the construction of the Lucknow Metro.Says Power Transmission, a Distribution business has bagged three major orders including additional orders from on-going jobs worth 7.92 bln rupees.Turnkey order has been received from the Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL) for the supply, erection, testing and commissioning of a 765 kV S/C transmission line between Lalitpur to Agra (Part - III) in Uttar Pradesh.Contract is for the supply of 765kV EHV towers, insulator hardware materials and other transmission accessories. The order will be completed in 20 months.Another order has been bagged from the Himachal Pradesh Transmission Corporation Limited for the design, engineering, supply and construction of a 400/220/33kV Gas Insulated Switchgear substation at Lahal in the Chamba District of Himachal Pradesh.  Full Article

Larsen & Toubro Ltd:Baggs a residential order worth 12.31 billion Indian rupees from a private developer for the construction of two residential towers (208 mtrs and 232 mtrs) in Mumbai.Says the Power Transmission & Distribution business has won orders worth 3.46 billion Indian rupees.Says the order has been received from the Tamil Nadu Transmission Corporation Limited for the supply, erection, testing and commissioning of a 400 kV D/C transmission line between Korattur–Thervaikandikai-Manali in Chennai.Says another EPC order has been received from a private power venture to establish a 400kV double circuit transmission line in Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh.Says the business also bagged a contract from the Power Grid Corporation of India Limited for executing 400/220 kV GIS Substation at Pandiabil in Odisha.Says the contract is for onshore supply, installation, construction of civil buildings, testing and commissioning of substation equipment.  Full Article
