L-3 Communications Holdings Inc announced that Link Simulation & Training (L-3 Link) division has been awarded a contract from the U.S. Air Force Life Cycle Management Center at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base near Dayton, Ohio, to build two F-16 Block 52 Full Mission Trainers (FMTs) for the Iraqi Air Force. L-3 Communications Holdings Inc announced that its board of directors has increased its regular quarterly cash dividend 10% from $0.50 to $0.55 per share. The board has also declared the next dividend payable on March 15, 2013 to shareholders of record at the close of business on March 1, 2013. This action represents L-3`s ninth consecutive annual dividend increase. The board of directors has also authorized a new share repurchase program allowing the Company to repurchase up to an additional $1.5 billion of the Company's common stock through June 30, 2015. L-3 Communications Holdings Inc announced that its Westwood division has been awarded a contract to design and manufacture the next generation of 100 kW and 200 kW generator sets, known as Large Advanced Mobile Power Sources (LAMPS), for the U.S. Army. L-3 Communications Holdings Inc's Security And Detection Systems Secures Contract For Second Generation Passenger Screening Systems
L-3 Communications Holdings Inc announced that its Security and Detection Systems division has received an award from the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) to supply the second generation of Advanced Imaging Technology (AIT) systems. The indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity (ID/IQ) contract has a ceiling value of $245 million. Under this contract, L-3 will supply its new Provision 2 system to TSA. Provision 2 is a reduced-size personnel screening system that provides the same image-free threat detection capabilities and safe millimeter wave technology as the widely deployed ProVision ATD system. The ProVision 2 detects metallic and non-metallic objects, such as weapons, explosives and other targets. Reduced-sized systems provide an alternative to full-size systems, helping to reduce the overall footprint for smaller checkpoint configurations. Full Article

L-3 Communications Holdings Inc announced that it has been awarded an indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity (ID/IQ) contract for its VideoScout family of systems. Provided on behalf of the Marine Corp Systems Command by the United States Navy, the contract provides for the purchase of new equipment, modifications of existing equipment and the development of new system enhancements. L-3 Communications Holdings Inc announced that the Security and Detection Systems division has been awarded an indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity (ID/IQ) contract by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) to supply medium-speed explosives detection systems. This five-year acquisition program has a revenue potential of $549.6 million for L-3. As one of two suppliers selected as an ID/IQ award winner, L-3 is qualified to receive orders for this equipment.
