L-3 Communications Completes Acquisition Of Kollmorgen Electro-Optical From Danaher Corp

L-3 Communications announced that it completed the acquisition of the Kollmorgen Electro-Optical unit of Danaher Corporation on February 6, 2012. The acquired business will conduct business under the name of L-3 KEO. The company paid $210 million, subject to certain contractual adjustments to the purchase price. L-3 KEO develops and manufactures specialized equipment, including submarine photonics systems and periscopes, ship fire control systems, visual landing aids, ground electro-optical and sensor-cueing systems and is headquartered in Northampton, Mass.
