AP Moeller Maersk A/S' APM Terminals Buys Stake in Global Ports Investments Plc from N-Trans-Reuters

Reuters reported that AP Moeller Maersk A/S's APM Terminals has entered into an agreement to acquire 37.5% of Global Ports Investments Plc (Global Ports). The value of the transaction for Global Ports amounts to approximately USD 2.3 billion. APM Terminals acquires shares from the Russian transport group N-Trans which currently holds 75% shares in Global Ports. Global Ports had a turnover of USD 501 million and EBITDA of USD 282 million in 2011. According to the agreement, APM Terminals will receive access to three container terminals in Russia and two container terminals in Finland.
