AP Moller-Maersk's subsidiary APM Terminals:Says will invest 758 million euros in a new transhipment terminal in Tangier, Morocco, that will be the first automated terminal in Africa.New container terminal will have an annual capacity of five million 20-foot equivalent units (TEU), and APM Terminals has the right to operate the port for 30 years.APM Terminals, A.P. AP Moeller Maersk A/S:Maersk Oil has completed acquisition of 50 pct of Africa Oil Corp share in three onshore exploration licences in Turkana region, Kenya, and two contiguous licences in Southern Ethiopia-Reuters.The licences cover an area of about 100,000 square kilometers and include nine recent oil discoveries, with ongoing exploration and appraisal activities.Four of the blocks are operated by Tullow Oil and one by Africa Oil.  Full Article

AP Moeller Maersk A/S:Maersk, Swiss peer MSC and 13 other peers have offered to change their practices to settle a two-year EU antitrust investigation, the European Commission said on Tuesday - RTRS.The companies include CMA CGM, Evergreen Marine, Hapag Lloyd, China Ocean Shipping (Group) Company (COSCO), China Shipping, Hamburg Sud, Hanjin, OOCL (Orient Overseas Container Line), Mitsui OSK Lines (MOL), United Arab Shipping Company, Nippon Yusen Kaisha, Hyundai Merchant Marine and Zim.The Commission said the container liners offer to stop publishing and communicating generate rate increase announcements, which are changes to prices expressed as the amount or percentage of the change.Third parties have a month to provide feedback on the proposal before the EU competition authority accepts the offer without any finding of wrongdoing or possible fines.  Full Article

AP Moeller Maersk A/S:Maersk, MSC and 13 other firms have offered to change their pricing practices to settle an EU antitrust probe and stave off any fines, three people familiar with the matter said on Wednesday - RTRS.The European Commission opened an investigation into the companies, among the world's 18 largest shipping liners, in November 2013 following dawn raids in May 2011 - RTRS.The EU competition enforcer said the shipping companies may have been illegally orchestrating price hikes since 2009 via public announcements of rate increase plans on their websites and in the specialised trade press - RTRS.The companies have offered to publish binding actual rates a month before they go into effect, the people said. In some circumstances, the figures may act as a price cap.
