ArcelorMittal SA and Trade Unions Reach Memorandum of Understanding on Florange Workers-Les Echos
Les Echos reported that ArcelorMittal SA and trade unions representing workers at the Florange plant have reached a memorandum of understanding which could bring an end to the industrial dispute at the plant, which affects 629 jobs. The Company has increased the compensation paid to those taking early retirement to 12 months of their gross salary, and introduced compensation of EUR 3,600 for workers being redeployed on site and three months' salary for those that have to change locations. The trade unions said these proposals were acceptable.
