Noble Corp Receives Contract Award For New Ultra-High Specification Jackup To Be Constructed For Mariner Project
Noble Corp announced that the Company has been awarded a drilling contract by Statoil for a newbuild ultra-high specification jackup for use in the United Kingdom sector of the North Sea. The initial contract is for four years and is anticipated to commence during the third quarter of 2016. The total estimated value of the four year primary term contract is USD655 million, including mobilization. Noble is in the final stages of negotiating a contract for the construction of the new jackup and expects delivered costs to be approximately $690 million, including project management, spares and start-up costs, but excluding capitalized interest. Noble Corp Approves Dividend Payment To Shareholders
Noble Corp announced that the Company's Board has set the record and payment dates for the fourth installment of a payment to shareholders in the form of a dividend funded from the Company's capital contribution reserve. This installment payment will be in the amount of USD $0.13 per share. The ex-dividend date for this payment is expected to be May 2, 2013, with a record date of May 6, 2013 and a payment date of May 16, 2013. Noble Corp Secures Contracts For Two Ultra-Deepwater Drillships
Noble Corp announced that the Company has entered into two three-year term drilling contracts with Plains Exploration & Production Company for the Noble Sam Croftand the Noble Tom Madden, two of Noble's new ultra-deepwater drillships currently under construction at the Hyundai Heavy Industries Co. Ltd. (HHI) shipyard in Ulsan, South Korea. The drillships, which are being constructed on a fixed price basis, are expected to be utilized for operations primarily in the U.S. Gulf of Mexico under these contracts. The Noble Sam Croftis expected to be delivered in the second quarter of 2014, followed closely by the Noble Tom Madden, which is expected to be delivered in second half of 2014. The contracts are expected to commence following mobilization to the U.S. Gulf of Mexico and customer acceptance. Revenues to be generated over the three-year terms are expected to total approximately $693 million per rig, including mobilization fees, representing in excess of $1.3 billion in total potential backlog. With the award of contracts for these two units, all four ultra-deepwater drillships under construction for Noble at HHI are now under contract. Full Article

Noble Corp Announces Sale Of Two Jackups For $79 million
Noble Corp announced that it has entered into two separate Definitive Agreements for the sale of two standard jackup drilling units. The first agreement, for the 300-foot water depth capable jackup Noble Lewis Dugger, is with a wholly-owned subsidiary of Goimar S.A. de C.V., a private company in Mexico that owns and operates supply vessels, platform drilling rigs and jackups. This unit is being sold for $61 million and the closing is expected to occur in early 2013 after the unit has completed its contract with the current customer, PEMEX. The second agreement is for the sale of the 150-foot water depth capable Noble Don Walker to Axxis Petroconsultants Limited, a private company in Nigeria that owns and operates drilling units. The unit has been cold-stacked in Cameroon since 2009. The purchase price is $18 million, and the closing is expected in early 2013. Both transactions are subject to customary closing conditions. Noble Corp Announces Contract
Noble Corp announced a new contract commitment for its jackup rig Noble Hans Deul, operating in the UK sector of the North Sea. The rig has been awarded a minimum 18 month contract extension by a subsidiary of Royal Dutch Shell plc (Shell), with the extension period expected to commence in February 2013, in direct continuation of the rig's current contract. Revenues expected to be generated over the 18 month extension are estimated at $132 million, or an equivalent dayrate of $242,500 compared to a current day rate of $175,000. The contract is expected to commence thereafter following mobilization to an initial operating location and client acceptance. Noble Corporation Prices Offering Of Senior Notes
Noble Corporation announced that its indirect wholly-owned subsidiary, Noble Holding International Limited (NHIL), has priced an offering of $1.2 billion aggregate principal amount of senior unsecured notes in three separate tranches, with $300 million of 2.50% senior notes due 2017, $400 million of 3.95% senior notes due 2022 and $500 million of 5.25% senior notes due 2042. The weighted average coupon of all three tranches is 4.13%. Noble Corporation, a Cayman Islands company ("Noble-Cayman") and a direct wholly-owned subsidiary of Noble, will fully and unconditionally guarantee the notes on a senior unsecured basis. The estimated net proceeds of approximately $1.19 billion are expected to be used to repay indebtedness outstanding under Noble-Cayman's revolving credit facilities and for general corporate purposes, including Noble's capital expenditure program. Pending the application of funds from the offering, the net proceeds are expected to be invested in U.S. government obligations, bank deposits or other secure, short-term investments. Noble says Shell in talks to renew Arctic rig contract
April 18 - Noble Corp, owner of the world's third-largest offshore drilling fleet, said on Thursday Royal Dutch Shell Plc was in talks to extend its contract to use the Noble Discoverer beyond February 2014, underlining its long-term plans for the offshore Arctic.
