Northrop Grumman:The U.S. Air Force Sustainment Center and Northrop Grumman Corporation recently signed an enterprise public-private partnership agreement that establishes terms and conditions for future weapon system sustainment activities between the Air Force and Northrop Grumman.The agreement applies to all work between the Air Force Sustainment Center and Northrop Grumman and is expected to significantly improve efficiency by reducing the time and cost associated with agreement negotiations.Implementation agreements for specific projects will be created and managed at lower levels of the Air Force Sustainment Center and within Northrop Grumman.  Full Article

Northrop Grumman:Has been awarded a task order by the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA).Order to continue its lead role on the Acropolis and Sensor Operations program - a capability that protects DISA-managed networks from cyber-attack and provides global cyber situational awareness for these networks.Under this task order, Northrop Grumman will continue providing secure, consolidated, and integrated defensive cyber operations and a global cyber situational awareness environment to network defense analysts.So they can better protect and defend the DOD Joint Information Environment (JIE), DOD Enterprise Services, and the DOD Information Network (DODIN) from the growing cyber threat.Will also operate and maintain the DODIN-wide Computer Network Defense sensor will leverage its Advanced Cyber Technology Center to implement high-end innovations to bolster speed and resiliency as well as reap cost saving.  Full Article

Northrop Grumman's subsidiary extends Air Traffic Communication Coverage at Incheon Control Centre, South Korea

Northrop Grumman Corporation:Says its U.K.-based air traffic management communications systems subsidiary, Northrop Grumman Park Air Systems, has been awarded a contract by South Korea's Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport to provide additional air traffic communication system sites.Contract for delivering ground-to-air communications for the Incheon, South Korea air traffic control centre.Contract was awarded following an international competitive tender process and based on price competitiveness and expertise in the region as a supplier of the existing area control centre (ACC) systems.Says new contract will build on the current infrastructure delivering an additional six remote sites that will further extend the coverage for operations at Incheon ACC.System will include the Park Air T6 series of professional ATC radio equipment, with 30 VHF channels and 32 UHF channels, together with a remote control and monitoring system, to allow centralised awareness of the equipment performance and availability.Contract is expected to be completed by mid-2015. Factory acceptance testing and factory training will take place at the company's U.K.-based facility.Northrop Grumman Park Air is partnered with JoongAng Hitel, the local South Korean contractor for installation services.  Full Article

Northrop Grumman Corp:Workers painting and conducting paint removal from aircraft parts at Lake Charles are being overexposed to methylene chloride and hexavalent chromium - OSHA.OSHA cited the company for eight serious health violations for failing to provide engineering controls to keep worker exposure below the permissible exposure levels for these chemicals and for failing to provide adequate respiratory protection and equipment for the painters.The inspection began Aug. 2014 as the result of a complaint, but was expanded to also address the Occupational Safety and Health Administration's National Emphasis Program for Hexavalent Chromium.Proposed penalty amount is $42,000.  Full Article
