Norway Royal Salmon Q1 operating result beats forecast

May 23 (Reuters) - Norway Royal Salmon Asa :Operational ebit for q1 of 2017 was mnok 205 and ebit per kg was nok 28.60. Corresponding figures for same quarter last year were mnok 153 and nok 25.54.Reuters poll for q1 operational ebit was nok 162 million.Estimated harvest volume is 34,000 tonnes for 2017, an increase of 27 per cent from 2016.Reuters poll for 2017 harvest volume was 33,850 tonnes.For 2017, we expect an increase in supply to global market of 2 to 4 per cent.A continued low supply growth and good work in markets provides basis for a positive market outlook.Says harvested 7,181 tonnes during the quarter (Reuters poll 5,340 tonnes).  Full Article

Grieg Seafood and Norway Royal Salmon to jointly secure smolt production in Finmark

May 16 (Reuters) - Grieg Seafood Asa and Norway Royal Salmon :Have joined forces to ensure smolt capacity in Finnmark by entering as owners of Nordnorsk Smolt as with 50 per cent each.Says the plant has a production capacity of 800 tonnes per year, corresponding to an annual production of about 3.2 million fish weighing 250 grams.Transaction values company at an enterprise value (ev) of approximately NOK 100 million.Says the acquisition will "ensure good access to big smolt which will contribute to better production optimization and shorter production time in sea".Says the investment is in accordance with companies' strategy to strengthen smolt production.  Full Article

Norway Royal Salmon buys 50 pct of Iceland's Arctic Fish for EUR 29 mln

: Norway Royal salmon has entered into an agreement to acquire 50.00 per cent of Arctic Fish ehf through a directed private placement in amount of eur 29 million, , thus forming a joint venture with the existing owners . Norway Royal Salmon asa says remaining 50.00 per cent in Arctic Fish is controlled by Bremesco Holding Ltd and Novo EHF, with 47.50 per cent and 2.50 per cent respectively . Norway Royal Salmon says will finance transaction through existing cash and loan facilities . Norway Royal Salmon asa says through transaction, it is entering salmon farming industry in Iceland . Norway royal salmon asa says arctic fish currently has licenses in three fjords with a total allowed annual production of 9 000 tonnes farmed fish . Arctic Fish is currently building its own highly modern hatchery for smolt in Iceland, with close proximity to the farm sites. Following completion, the hatchery will have an annual capacity of around 7 million smolt . There will be no changes to the management of Arctic Fish as a direct result of the Transaction . Sigurður Pétursson serves as CEO of Arctic Fish after having founded the company in 2011. Arnþór Gustavsson is the Farm Manager and Neil Shiran Thorisson is the company's CFO . Norway Royal Salmon ASA:Says acquires remaining outstanding shares in Nord Senja Laks AS for a cash consideration of 70 million Norwegian crowns.Acquires 135 shares in Nord Senja Laks AS, corresponding to 33.3 pct of the outstanding shares.Following the Transaction, NRS will own 100 pct of the shares in Nord Senja Laks AS.Nord Senja Laks owns five farming licenses and is part of NRS Region North located on Senja in Troms.The total harvest volume for Nord Senja Laks in 2015 was 4,415 tonnes.Transaction indirectly corresponds to an acquisition of 1.67 farming licenses including biomass and fixed assets.This yields an enterprise value per license of about 51 million crowns.  Full Article
