Oaktree Capital Group LLC Announces Pricing Of Public Offering Of Class A Units
Oaktree Capital Group LLC announced the pricing of its previously announced public offering of 7,000,000 Class A units at a price to the public of $53.50 per Class A unit. In addition, the underwriters have been granted a 30-day option to purchase up to an additional 1,050,000 Class A units. Oaktree intends to use all of the net proceeds from the offering to acquire interests in its business from certain of its directors, employees and other investors, including certain of its principals and other members of its senior management. Accordingly, Oaktree will not retain any proceeds from the sale of Class A units in the offering. The offering is expected to close on May 29, 2013. The offering is being made under Oaktree`s effective Registration Statement on Form S-3 filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (the SEC). Morgan Stanley, BofA Merrill Lynch and Credit Suisse are acting as joint global coordinators and Goldman, Sachs & Co., J.P. Capital & Regional plc Announces Unconditional Exchange Of Contracts To Purchase Kingfisher Shopping Centre With Oaktree Capital Group, LLC's Oaktree Capital Management, L.P
Capital & Regional plc announced the unconditional exchange of contracts to purchase The Kingfisher Shopping Centre (The Kingfisher Centre) in Redditch with its capital partner, an affiliate of funds managed by Oaktree Capital Management, L.P., a subsidiary of Oaktree Capital Group, LLC (Oaktree). The acquisition, which is expected to complete later on May 1, 2012, will be made through a new joint venture vehicle formed specifically for this purpose. The Kingfisher Centre is being acquired for GBP130 million, representing an 8% net initial yield, from clients of Scottish Widows Investment Partnership (SWIP). Kingfisher is a dominant sub regional mall, occupying a 27 acre site and extends to approx. 1 million sq ft of retail accommodation. This is supported by 2,800 car parking spaces, an integrated bus station and an adjacent rail station. The acquisition is funded by investments of GBP10.6 million and GBP42.4 million from C&R and Oaktree respectively, representing equity shares of 20% and 80%. The remaining funding will be provided by The Royal Bank of Scotland and Santander through a five year, GBP86 million debt facility. Full Article

Oaktree Capital Group LLC announced the pricing of its initial public offering at a price of $43.00 per Class A unit. Oaktree’s Class A units will begin trading on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol OAK on April 12, 2012. Of the Class A units to be sold in the offering, Oaktree is offering 7,888,864 Class A units and the selling unitholders are offering 954,159 Class A units.
