ON Semiconductor Corp announced that it has introduced a fully programmable Lithium-Ion (Li-Ion) switching battery charger optimized for power efficiency in smart phones, tablets and other handheld devices. The NCP1851 significantly reduces charge time, increases battery life and includes advanced startup features. ON Semiconductor announced that for the third quarter of 2012, it anticipate total ON Semiconductor revenues will be approximately $725-$765 million. The Company's Board of Directors and its Special Committee have also recently authorized the Company to execute a share repurchase program for up to $300 million of common stock during the next three years. The Company expects to begin implementing this program later this month.
