Peugeot SA Announces End of Car Production at Aulnay Plant

Peugeot SA announced that the last car produced by its Aulnay-sous-Bois plant rolled off the assembly line on October 25, 2013. The Citroen C3 will be delivered to the Conservatoire Citroen brand heritage center. The Aulnay site will continue to produce spare parts on its body-in-white line until 2014, while production of the Citroen C3 will now be fully transferred to the Poissy plant, west of Paris. Since the Aulnay redundancy plan (PSE) was introduced on May 2, 2013, a total of 2,700 employees out of 3,000 have been redeployed or have started the redeployment process. Of these, 1,100 are covered by inplacement, 1,100 by outplacement and 500 by retirement or outplacement leave. The employee redeployment period is scheduled to end on March 31, 2014.
