Praxair Inc signs long-term supply contract with water recycling plant

Praxair Inc:Says through its subsidiary Beijing Praxair Inc, has signed a long-term gas supply contract with Gao Bei Dian water recycling plant of Beijing Drainage Group Co Ltd.Says it will build, own and operate a vacuum pressure swing adsorption unit to supply gaseous oxygen to plant for its wastewater treatment and recycling processes.  Full Article

Praxair Gulf Coast expansion to serve Freeport, Texas, and supply New World-Scale Ammonia Project

Praxair Inc:Signs 20-year agreement to supply about 170 million standard cubic feet per day of hydrogen and 2,000 tons per day of nitrogen to a new 750,000 metric tons per year ammonia complex being built by a new entity formed by Yara and BASF.To help fulfill the raw material requirements of this world-scale ammonia project located in Freeport, Texas, Praxair is investing more than $400 million to add hydrogen and nitrogen production capacity and extending its Gulf Coast pipeline systems about 46 miles from Texas City to the Freeport area.Praxair's pipeline systems are supported by multiple hydrogen and air separation plants and product storage capabilities including Praxair's innovative 2.5 billion standard cubic foot high-purity hydrogen storage cavern.The pipeline extensions are scheduled to be in operation in 2016 and the supply to the complex is expected to start in late 2017.  Full Article

Praxair Inc:Has priced $400 million of 2.650 pct notes due Feb. 5, 2025, $200 million of 3.55 pct notes due Nov. 7, 2042 and $150 million of floating rate notes due Feb. 3, 2017.The notes are being offered under its shelf registration statement filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.The offering is led by Credit Suisse Securities (USA) LLC, J.P. Morgan Securities LLC, RBS Securities Inc. and Wells Fargo Securities, LLC.The offering is expected to close on Feb. 5.The company anticipates using the proceeds of the offering for general corporate purposes, including the repayment of outstanding indebtedness.  Full Article

Praxair awarded NASA contract; will supply hydrogen to space programs

Praxair Inc:Has been awarded NASA's agency-wide Acquisition of Liquid Hydrogen contract.Praxair's hydrogen supply network will serve four NASA sites, including Stennis Space Center, Mississippi; Kennedy Space Center, Florida; Marshall Space Flight Center, Alabama; and Glenn Research Center, Ohio.NASA projected the maximum value of the five-year contract to be $53 million.In addition to hydrogen supply, NASA awarded Praxair five-year liquid oxygen supply agreement for the Kennedy Space Center, and previously, the Department of Defense awarded Praxair five-year liquid hydrogen supply agreement for missions launched from Vandenberg Air Force Base in California.  Full Article


Linde chairman backs deal with Praxair: Handelsblatt

FRANKFURT Linde supervisory board Chairman Wolfgang Reitzle is still in favor of a tie-up between the German industrial gases maker and U.S. rival Praxair , which has made a renewed merger proposal, German newspaper Handelsblatt reported.
