Praxair Inc:Says it has signed a long-term contract to supply industrial gases to a new steel mill being built near the Port of Pecém in an international free trade zone in the state of Ceara, located in the northeast region of Brazil.Says the mill will be operated by Companhia Siderúrgica do Pecém(CSP), a joint venture between Brazilian Vale and South Korean Dongkuk Steel and Posco Steel.  Full Article

LTD to supply high-purity oxygen to the company's steel mill facility in Busan, Korea.Says it will construct a new 180 tons per day air separation plant and pipeline in the Mieum Foreign Industrial Zone in Busan that will serve Taewoong, as well as new and other existing customers.  Full Article

Praxair Inc reported in its Form 8-K that on November 4, 2013, Praxair, Inc. (Company) priced $500,000,000 aggregate principal amount of 1.900% notes due February 28, 2019. The Notes will be sold on November 12, 2013 in a registered offering under the Securities Act of 1933, pursuant to the Company’s shelf registration statement on Form S-3 filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on August 8, 2012. The material terms of the Notes are described in the Company’s prospectus supplement dated November 4, 2013 filed with the SEC on November 4, 2013. Sawyer, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, will retire on December 31, 2013, and that Matthew J. For fiscal 2013, it expects diluted EPS to be in the range of $5.80 to $5.85 and adjusted diluted EPS to be in the range of $5.90 to $5.95 and sales in the area of $12 billion. For fiscal 2013, it expects adjusted diluted earnings per share to be in the range of $5.90 to $6.00. Praxair expects fiscal 2013 sales in the area of $12 billion. Praxair Inc Enters into Industrial Gas Joint Venture with KuibyshevAzot in Central Russia

Praxair Inc announced that it has entered into a definitive agreement to form a joint venture with OJSC KuibyshevAzot, in central Russia`s Samara region, to produce and sell industrial gases. The joint venture will produce on-site oxygen, nitrogen and compressed dry air for KuibyshevAzot`s expanding caprolactam, fertilizer and ammonia production, as well as liquid oxygen, nitrogen and argon for sale to customers in the Volga region. Praxair and KuibyshevAzot will construct a new, energy-efficient air separation unit that will produce 1,400 tons per day of oxygen, nitrogen and argon and is scheduled to start-up mid-2016. The joint venture will also own and operate KuibyshevAzot`s existing air separation unit, which produces 2,000 tons per day of oxygen, nitrogen and argon. The merchant liquid supply will support the surrounding industrial region, including energy, automotive and other manufacturing customers. This is Praxair`s fifth on-site project in Russia and third in the Volga region.  Full Article

Praxair Inc Acquires Volgograd Oxygen Factory

Praxair Inc announced that it has acquired Volgograd Oxygen Factory (VOF), a producer and distributor of industrial gases in southern Russia, significantly strengthening the Company`s merchant liquid and packaged gas business in this key region. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed. This is the latest in a series of investments in Russia that expands Praxair`s production and distribution capacity. VOF is an established leader in the Volgograd region, serving more than two thousand customers in a variety of industries including steel, aerospace, healthcare and food and beverage. Praxair has invested in four other projects in Russia, with combined production capacity greater than 3,500 tons per day of gaseous and liquid oxygen, nitrogen, hydrogen and argon. In addition, the Company acquired Volzhsky Azot in 2012, which included two air separation units and a bulk and packaged gas business located in the Volgograd region.  Full Article
