Raytheon Co:Says the U.S. Air Force awarded the company a $19.5 mln contract for engineering and manufacturing development of a new expeditionary radar that will detect, identify and track drones, missiles and aircraft.Says the total contract, including all options, is currently estimated at $71.8 million and includes the procurement of an additional three radar systems, for a total of six radar systems and product support.  Full Article

Raytheon Co:Says U.S. Navy awarded Raytheon, a $251 million contract to procure Tomahawk Block IV tactical cruise missiles for fiscal year 2014 with option for 2015.Contract calls for Raytheon to build and deliver Tomahawk Block IV cruise missiles to U.S. Navy and U.K. Royal Navy.Raytheon will also conduct flight tests and provide life-cycle support. Raytheon Co:Says Massachusetts Department of Transportation awarded Raytheon Company a $130 mln contract for an All Electronic Tolling System (AETS).Raytheon and team of Massachusetts-based companies will convert and replace all manual cash and electronic toll collection systems with an advanced system that will automatically toll vehicles as they travel under a gantry similar to an overhead sign.Drivers will be able to pass through toll station at highway speeds without the need to slow down or stop.AETS will reduce congestion, travel times and vehicle emissions from stop and go driving at existing toll plazas.Vehicles equipped with existing E-ZPass transponders will work on the new AETS.system will perform Image Based Tolling (IBT) at highway speeds on non EZ-Pass vehicles and send a toll invoice to registered owner of vehicle.  Full Article
