Cap Gemini SA Announces Partnership Agreement with SAP AG to Develop Extreme Applications for Retail Built on SAP HANA

Cap Gemini SA announced a relationship with SAP AG to develop Extreme Applications for the retail industry, built on the SAP HANA platform. These business applications will integrate Capgemini IP on top of the platform, including industry-specific data models, KPIs, dashboards and predictive analytics. As part of this initiative, Cap Gemini SA is developing applications with pilot customers and will resell them through its global sales channels worldwide, while SAP AG is overseeing the business compliance of the applications via its retail industry business unit.The first phase of the rollout, planned to begin in mid-September 2013, will be to priority geographies including North America, the Netherlands, the UK, France, Spain and India. Beyond this initiative with SAP AG on Extreme Applications, Cap Gemini SA aims to bring to market 15 to 20 applications built on top of SAP AG platforms for various industries within the next 24 months.  Full Article

Sap AG Reiterates FY 2013 Guidance

Sap AG reiterated fiscal 2013 outlook, which remains unchanged from the outlook provided on January 23, 2013. The Company expects fiscal 2013 non-IFRS software and cloud subscription revenue to increase in a range of 14%-20% at constant currencies (fiscal 2012: EUR5.00 billion). The fiscal 2013 non-IFRS cloud subscription and support revenue contributing to this growth is expected to be around EUR750 million at constant currencies (fiscal 2012: EUR343 million). The Company expects fiscal 2013 non-IFRS software and software-related service revenue to increase in a range of 11%-13% at constant currencies (fiscal 2012: EUR13.25 billion). The Company expects fiscal 2013 non-IFRS operating profit to be in a range of EUR5.85-EUR5.95 billion at constant currencies (fiscal 2012: EUR5.21 billion).  Full Article

Ericsson Signs Agreement with SAP AG to Jointly Market and Sell Cloud-Based Machine-to-Machine Solutions

Ericsson announced that Ericsson and SAP AG have signed an agreement to jointly market and sell cloud-based, machine-to-machine (M2M) solutions and services to enterprises via operators around the globe. The solutions will be based on a combined software-as-a-service (SaaS) offering from Ericsson and SAP within M2M. The combined power of Ericsson's services, solutions, technology and network operator infrastructure, which are powered by Ericsson Device Connection Platform & Service Enablement Platform, and enterprise business solutions from SAP powered by the SAP HANA platform will allow businesses to find better ways to respond to customer needs even more quickly than they could before. SAP is well positioned to offer enterprises mobile, cloud computing and big data analytics, as well as experience in combining those technologies to create solutions across 24 industries. In addition to solutions and technology, Ericsson will lend its consulting, systems integration and managed services, and complementary device and applications testing, as well as verification services to facilitate a faster time-to-market, efficient use of mobile network resources and an optimized user experience. Sap AG announced plans to acquire SmartOps, a provider of inventory and service-level optimization software solutions. SmartOps provides key operating parameters and targets for supply chain management (SCM) planning. part of the acquisition, SmartOps employees will join SAP. Sap AG announced plans to acquire Ticket-Web GmbH & Co. KG, a provider of ticketing solutions and niche customer relationship management software (CRM) for sports and entertainment promoters. The move paves the way for SAP to offer enhanced solutions to help promoters, venues and teams market events over the Internet and better support arena management.
