Stora Enso plans paper capacity cuts in Sweden

Stora Enso Oyj : says plans to shut down one SC paper machine at Kvarnsveden mill in Sweden due to declining market demand . Says planned actions would affect a maximum of 140 employees, annual cost savings seen at 12 million euros . Stora Enso will book restructuring charges of approximately 17 million euros in Q1 results . Says Q1 operational EBIT is expected to be in line with 191 million euros recorded in Q4 2016 . Says Q1 sales are estimated to be similar to amount of 2,44 billion euros . Says Beihai mill ramp-up is proceeding ahead of plan relating to both quality and production volumes, expected to reach full production within 18-24 months from start-up which was in May 2016 . Stora Enso Oyj : Says items affecting comparability (IAC) in Q4 2016 had a 34 million euro ($36.18 million) negative net impact on operating profit . Says IAC will increase taxes by approximately 11 million euros in the fourth quarter .
