Reuters reported that Siemens AG aims to float its lighting business Osram Licht AG on the stock exchange in early July 2013 , it said, following a short delay due to legal action by a handful of investors. Siemens, which is floating Osram to focus on its most profitable businesses, had planned to spin off 80.5% of the business in the European spring. Reuters reported that Eli Lilly And Co said it will acquire two imaging agents from Siemens AG designed to light up brain deposits of tau, an Alzheimer's protein linked with cell death. The two agents are radiopharmaceutical tracers, which are used with positron emission tomography, or PET scans, to highlight specific proteins in the brain. Nokia Oyj and Siemens AG's Joint Venture Nokia Siemens Gets LTE Network Order from TIM Brasil-DJ
Dow Jones reported that Nokia Siemens, a joint venture between Nokia Oyj and Siemens AG, has received a contract to deploy an LTE network layer on top of operator TIM Brasil's existing 2G and 3G networks in the 2.6 GHz frequency band. Under the contract, Nokia Siemens will deliver an LTE radio access network featuring its Flexi Multiradio Base Stations. It will also upgrade TIM Brasil's NetAct network management system to enable monitoring, management and optimization of its network. Nokia Oyj and Siemens AG's Joint Venture's Subsidiary Issues Senior Notes
Nokia Oyj and Siemens AG announced that Nokia Siemens Networks Finance B.V., a wholly owned subsidiary of Nokia Oyj and Siemens AG's joint venture Nokia Siemens Networks B.V., issues EUR 450 million Senior Notes due 2018 at a coupon of 6.75% per annum (the 2018 Notes) and EUR 350 million Senior Notes due 2020 at a coupon of 7.125% per annum (the 2020 Notes and, together with the 2018 Notes, the Notes), each at an offering price of 100%. The offering was announced on March 18, 2013. The Notes amount to an aggregate total of EUR 800 million, which is an increase from the originally planned amount of EUR 600 million. The Notes will be guaranteed on a senior unsecured basis by Nokia Siemens Networks B.V. and Nokia Siemens Networks Oy. The net proceeds from the offering of the Notes will be used to prepay certain existing debt of Nokia Siemens Networks and for general corporate purposes. Full Article
