Solomon Resources Limited announced that it has acquired by staking 150 mineral claims located in the Whitehorse Mining District of the Yukon Territory. The Nis 1 - 66 and Sek 1 - 84 mineral claims cover a total area of 3135 hectares and are located 30 kilometers east of Solomon's Rosie Gold Project, a prospective gold target. The Nis and Sek Claims are located approximately 105 kilometers north of the town of Haines Junction and approximately 20 kilometers west and northwest of the Aishihik Road. The claims were staked in the course of a regional exploration project conducted by Solomon which focussed on epithermal gold targets in a poorly explored belt extending from the eastern headwaters of Dwarf Birch Creek to the eastern shore of Aishihik Lake. Solomon Resources Limited announced that it has acquired by staking 270 mineral claims located in the Whitehorse Mining District of the Yukon Territory. The Seamus 1 - 110, Jenn 1 -64 and Tyke 1 -96 mineral claims cover a total area of 5643 hectares within a regionally mappable orthogneiss unit adjacent to Ruby Range placer gold district. The Seamus, Jenn and Tyke Claims are located approximately 60 kilometers north of Haines Junction and 35 kilometers north of Silver City. The claims were staked in the course of a regional exploration project conducted by Solomon encompassing the drainages of Gladstone, Swanson, Venus, Ruby, July 04, 2011, July 12, 2011, Granite, McKinley and Dixie Creeks. Solomon Resources Limited announced that it has acquired by staking a further 24 mineral claims on the northeastern margin of the Pacer Claim Group located in the Whitehorse Mining District of the Yukon Territory. The Pacer Claim Group is located approximately five kilometers west of the town of Haines Junction in the Front Ranges of the Kluane Mountains. The claims cover gold occurrence and prospective epithermal gold and nickel-copper-platinum targets indicated by regional stream geochemical (RGS) surveys and airborne geophysics as well as preliminary surface exploration conducted by Solomon in September of 2010. Solomon Resources Limited Acquires 100% Interest In Grassroots Epithermal Gold Project
Solomon Resources Limited announced that it has acquired by staking a 100% interest in the Rosie Claim Group located in the Whitehorse Mining District of the Yukon Territory and comprising 216 claims covering an area of 4515 hectares. The Rosie Claim Group is located approximately 58 kilometers north of Destruction Bay and 107 kilometers northwest of the village of Haines Junction from which the Haines Highway extends 250 kilometers south to the deepwater port of Haines, Alaska. The Rosie Claim Group includes the easterly tributaries of Tyrell Creek as well as the two kilometer length of Tyrell Lake which will provide an ideal staging ground for exploration activity supported by float plane. Solomon Resources Limited Closes $250,000 Financing- Canada Stockwatch News
Canada Stockwatch News reported that Solomon Resources Ltd. has raised $250,000 through a unit private placement of 1,666,667 units at $0.15 per unit. Each unit consisted of one common share and one-half of one non-transferable share purchase warrant to purchase a further common share for 30 cents for two years. If the average closing price of Solomon's shares equals or exceeds $0.50 for 20 consecutive days after Oct. 8, the expiry date of the warrants may be reduced to 25 trading days from notice thereof. The shares, including shares issued on the exercise of the warrants, are subject to restrictions on transfer until October 8, 2011. Finders received fees of $12,180 (7% of subscriptions from investors introduced by finders) and 85,400 warrants (7% of the number of units sold to such investors) having the same terms as the warrants in the units. The proceeds of this placement will be used for the exploration and development of Solomon's interests in the Yukon Territory, claim staking and general corporate overheads. Full Article
