Snam Rete Gas SpA announced that it has authorized the transfer of the gas transmission, dispatching, remote control and metering business to the wholly-owned subsidiary company Snam Trasporto SpA. The Company also announced that it has approved, with effect from January 1, 2012, the change of its Company name from Snam Rete Gas SpA to Snam SpA.
