Trimble Navigation Ltd And Plexus Controls Partner To Provide Monitoring And Compliance Solutions For Environmental Industry
Trimble Navigation Ltd and Plexus Controls Corporation of Ottawa, Canada announced that they have signed an agreement to collaborate on the development of solutions that leverage positioning technology, wireless supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) solutions and mobile field management tools to enhance productivity for consultants and professionals in the environmental industry. Under the agreement, Trimble will have worldwide rights to use Plexus Control's wireless SCADA and mobile monitoring technologies to provide products for the industry. Plexus Control's wireless SCADA and distributed control system (DCS) technologies monitor and control well levels on remediation sites and landfills. All monitoring data is sent to a hub site using wireless communications and the Internet which allows operators to remotely monitor sites more effectively. Full Article

Holcim Services (South Asia) Limited To Deploy Trimble Navigation Ltd's Fleet Management And Visual Cargo Solutions To Improve Cement Distribution Logistics
Trimble Navigation Ltd announced that Holcim Services (South Asia) Limited, a unit of Holcim Group, will deploy the Trimble trako Fleet Management and Visual Cargo solutions in their outbound logistics fleet that transports cement to various destinations across India. The Trimble solution will provide Holcim better visibility into its transport logistics operations to help increase fleet productivity, improve operational efficiencies, enhance fleet and driver safety, and meet tight delivery timelines. As part of the implementation, Trimble will provide the Visual Cargo solution to Holcim's ACC Limited and Ambuja Cements Limited plant operations and the GPS/GPRS based Fleet Management solution for use by their contracted transport vendors. Visual Cargo provides advanced dashboard and reporting features that allow logistics managers to easily monitor, track and manage delivery exceptions. Trimble Navigation Ltd Issues Q4 2012 Mixed Guidance
Trimble Navigation Ltd announced that for the fourth quarter of 2012 it expects revenue between $503 million and $508 million with GAAP earnings per share of $0.24 to $0.26 and non-GAAP earnings per share (EPS) of $0.54 to $0.56. Non-GAAP guidance excludes the amortization of intangibles of $31.6 million related to previous acquisitions; anticipated acquisition costs of $8.0 million; and the anticipated impact of stock-based compensation expense of $8.1 million. Both GAAP and non-GAAP earnings per share assume a 15% to 17% tax rate and 129.8 million shares outstanding. The above guidance includes the impact of the TMW System acquisition which closed Oct. 2, 2012. TMW System is expected to be slightly dilutive to Trimble's fourth quarter non-GAAP earnings per share by $0.01 to $0.03 per share, due to the impact of a one-time, non-cash write-down on a portion of TMW System's deferred revenue. Trimble expects the acquisition to be accretive to its 2013 non-GAAP earnings per share by $0.12 to $0.14 per share.
