AK Transneft' OAO Acquires Full Control of Oil Pipeline Operator Uralsibnefteprovod-Interfax

Interfax reported that Sibnefteprovod, a wholly owned subsidiary of AK Transneft' OAO (Transneft), won the July 12 public auction for a 24.5% government stake in D.A. Chernyaev Ural-Siberian Trunk Oil Pipelines (Uralsibnefteprovod), another subsidiary of Transneft, the land and property relations ministry of Bashkortostan reported. Transneft itself already owns 75.5% of Uralsibnefteprovod, so it now has full control of this company. There were two bids made in the auction, by Sibnefteprovod and Privolzhsknefteprovod, a wholly owned subsidiary of Transneft based in Samara. The stake was sold at the starting price of RUB 10.433 billion. Uralsibnefteprovod receives, delivers, stores and transports oil in Bashkortostan, Chelyabinsk, Kurgan and Orenburg regions, and the southern part of Perm Territory.
