AK Transneft' OAO Acquires Full Control of Oil Pipeline Operator Uraltransnefteproduct-Interfax

Interfax reported that Uralsibnefteprovod, a wholly owned subsidiary of AK Transneft' OAO (Transneft), won an auction for a 13.8% government stake in Uraltransnefteproduct, another subsidiary of Transneft, the land and property relations ministry of Bashkortostan reported. Transneft itself already owned 86.2% of Uraltransnefteproduct, so it now has full control of this company. There were two bids made in the auction, by Uralsibnefteprovod and Privolzhsknefteprovod, a wholly owned subsidiary of Transneft based in Samara. The stake was sold at the starting price of RUB 2.112 billion. Uraltransnefteproduct receives, delivers, stores and transports petroleum products. Its product pipelines from Omsk to Samara and from Udmurtia to southern Bashkortostan are 4,934 kilometers in total.
