Vienna Airport says regulator requires earlier consolidation of Malta stake
Friday, 30 Dec 2016 05:52am EST

Flughafen Wien Ag : Says ruling made by FMA, against which Flughafen Wien AG (FWAG) is considering legal action, stake held by FWAG in Malta International Airport and Malta Mediterranean Link Consortium Limited (MMLC) should have already been fully consolidated back in 2006 . Says in contrast, this shareholding was consolidated at equity in consolidated financial statements of FWAG up until March 30, 2016 . Says this means that preliminary upward revaluation totalling 51.8 million euros ($54.6 million) regarding shares already held before additional acquisition of shares should not have been recognised in profit or loss in quarterly results of 2016 . Says current assessment of any additional effects of transaction could result in a slight improvement of revenue reported by FWAG in 2016 as well as net profit for period adjusted for revaluation effect . Says on basis of adjustment, a revenue increase and improvement of group results (before non-controlling interests) is also to be assumed for 2015 .Says FMA contends that acquisition of additional shares in MMLC as at March 30, 2016 comprises a transaction with non-controlling shareholders which is to be recognised directly in equity and not in profit or loss.  Full Article
