France Telecom SA's Orange, Vodafone Group Plc and RCS & RDS SA among Companies to Receive Mobile Telephone Licences in Romania-DJ

Dow Jones reported that the Romanian Telecom Market Regulator ANCOM announced that Cosmote, France Telecom SA's Orange, RCS & RDS SA, Vodafone Group Plc and 2K Telecom paid EUR 682.14 for mobile telephone licences in the frequency bands 800 megahertz, 900 megahertz, 1,800 megahertz and 2,600 megahertz. Between them the five companies have acquired 85% of the available frequencies. Orange Romania, France Telecom SA's Romanian subsidiary will pay EUR 227.14 million, while Vodafone Group Plc's Vodafone Romania will pay EUR 228.52 million.
