Volkswagen AG Confirms Plan To Build New Chinese Plant With SAIC Motor Corporation Limited In Urumqi-DJ
Dow Jones reported that Volkswagen AG agreed with Chinese joint-venture (JV) partner SAIC Motor Corporation Limited to build a new plant in Urumqi in Xinjiang province for around EUR170 million and produce up to 50,000 vehicles annually there from 2015 on. Volkswagen will help suppliers to establish operations in the area and set up a training center as well.
