Wegener Corp Receives Over $800,000 In Orders From International Customer

Wegener Corp announced the receipt of multiple orders for its digital signage products from an undisclosed international customer. The equipment purchased in these orders was shipped prior to the end of the fourth quarter. The orders were received in the final weeks of August for Wegener products including iPump 562 and 6400 Media Players. The products will be operated in satellite-based Compel network controlled environments utilizing both DVB and IP broadcast technologies. These networks are capable of supporting live broadcast and file-based signage applications. The equipment will be used to expand existing networks as well as support new deployments of digital signage in retail and transportation networks.  Full Article

Wegener Corp Signs Memorandum Of Understanding

Wegener Corp announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding extension from an undisclosed international customer. The Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) represents a bookable commitment to purchase WEGENER products including iPump 562 Media Players, iPump 6400 Professional Media Servers and Compel 2 network control system. The WEGENER products will be operated in Compel network controlled environments predominantly via satellite. These networks are capable of supporting live and file-based video applications, such as content distribution, digital signage, and regionalized video insertions. Wegener Corporation Supplies Equipment for International Networks

Wegener Corporation announced equipment orders and releases for two media networks. WEGENER received an order from Microspace for 100 Unity 552 enterprise media receivers to support an expansion of a global digital signage network. Microspace provides professional digital signage network management services for a global retailer. Utilizing WEGENER Compel network control, in conjunction with WEGENER receive equipment, Microspace has expanded the network footprint to support close to 500 stores around the world. The order was received and will ship during Wegener's fourth quarter of fiscal 2012. In addition, WEGENER released an order release for 200+ WEGENER iPump 562 media servers and a non-redundant Compel 2 network control system. The units will be used by an international customer managing a governmental media network. In this configuration, the WEGENER equipment is capable of supporting live and file-based video applications, such as digital signage and regionalized video insertions. WEGENER received the releases, from a previous booked blanket order, during the third quarter and shipped a portion of the equipment against its existing order backlog during the third quarter of fiscal year 2012. The balance of the order release will ship during Wegener's fourth quarter of fiscal 2012 which ends August 31, 2012.  Full Article
