YPF SA:Argentina's Anti-Corruption Office is supporting state-controlled energy company YPF in its effort to preserve the confidentiality of parts of an investment deal reached with U.S. energy supermajor Chevron, state-run news agency Telam reported - RTRS.recently complied with a Supreme Court order to deliver up a copy of that contract, which governs the companies' arrangement to develop massive shale oil and gas reserves in the southern province of Neuquen.But on Feb. 29 the Buenos Aires-based company reiterated its request that the pact, which allegedly contains secret clauses, not be released in its entirety to the public. YPT stressed then that it would be at a "competitive disadvantage" otherwise.Telam reported Tuesday that Laura Alonso, head of the Anti-Corruption Office, the Justice Ministry unit responsible for applying a 2003 decree guaranteeing access to public information, met last Friday with YPF CEO Miguel Galuccio and other senior company officials.The agency added that her office ruled Monday that the company had provided ample justification for excepting the contract from full public disclosure, finding that the reasons the company gave were in keeping with international standards.The Supreme Court ordered the full disclosure of the investment deal governing development of the Vaca Muerta shale formation in response to a complaint filed by socialist lawmaker Ruben Hector Giustiniani and other politicians.  Full Article

YPF SA:YPF and Petrolera Pampa executed supplementary agreement to investment agreement dated Nov. 6, 2013 for development of hydrocarbons in Rincon del Mangrullo area in Neuquen province.Amendmen establishes a participation of 50 percent by each of the parties in the total production, costs and investments for development of area with retroactive effect to Jan. 1, excluding only Vaca Muerta and Quintuco formations from agreement.Mentioned investments include $150 million for surface facilities in area, including first stage of expansion for treatment facilities that will increase current capacity of facilities from 2 to 4 million cubic meters per day.Amendment also contemplates extension of investment commitment of Petrolera Pampa to include third stage of investment of $22.5 million, which is designated for drilling additional wells targeting Mulichinco Formation.Amendment incorporates exploration program targeting Lajas Formation under which Petrolera Pampa has committed to invest up to $34 million and YPF has committed to invest up to $6 million for 2015-2016 period.Subject to results obtained during this period Petrolera Pampa may continue with second stage of investment during 2017, also targeting Lajas Formation, with investment commitment of additional $34 million.  Full Article

Argentine oil and gas workers to strike over YPF layoffs

BUENOS AIRES Some 23,000 Argentine oil and gas workers will go on a 48-hour strike beginning on Monday to protest state-owned oil company YPF SA's decision to lay off at least 1,600 workers, a union leader said on Friday.
