YRC Worldwide Inc:Says that it has reached an agreement with its lenders to extend the deadline to repay the 6 pct convertible notes to Feb. 13, 2014.Says to permit repayment of the Series A and B Notes with the cash equity proceeds from the equity transaction previously announced on Dec. 23, 2013.Says the company also obtained approval from 100 pct of its pension fund noteholders to amend and extend its obligation to Dec. 2019 subject to closing the equity transaction.  Full Article

YRC Worldwide Inc and IBT reach tentative agreement on revised proposal

YRC Worldwide Inc:Says that it has reached a tentative agreement with officials of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters on an extension of its collective bargaining agreement to Mar. 2019.Says the tentative agreement contains a number of revisions to the company's previous proposal which address concerns raised by the Teamsters leadership and its members.Says the previous proposal, which was voted without reaching an agreement with the union was not ratified by the company's employees.Says in contrast, this MOU extension was negotiated with the union.Says details of the revised proposal will be reviewed by local union officials at a 'two-person' meeting of local union officials to be held on Jan. 21.  Full Article

YRC Worldwide Inc Agrees with Dismissal of ABF Freight System Lawsuit

YRC Worldwide Inc announced that it agrees with the ruling on August 1, 2012 by Judge Susan Webber Wright of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Arkansas to dismiss a lawsuit brought by ABF Freight System, Inc. against several parties, including YRC Inc., New Penn Motor Express, Inc., USF Holland, Inc. and the International Brotherhood of Teamsters, claiming that certain amendments to the YRCW companies' collective bargaining agreement should be nullified. The lawsuit was originally filed in November 2010 and was dismissed by Judge Wright in December of the same year. On appeal, the case was remanded to the district court for further consideration, resulting in August 1, 2012 ruling. YRCW is satisfied with the court's decision and believes the court ruled correctly and in accordance with the language of the collective bargaining agreement. The resolution of this lawsuit is in keeping with YRCW's committed effort to vigorously defend itself against these alleged claims by the plaintiff.
