Name Description

Richard McGuire

Mr. Richard A. McGuire has been appointed as Non-Executive Chairman of the Board of the Company, effective 24 May 2017. Richard has served shareholders' interests in a number of UK public and private companies as Non-Executive Director and in other senior management positions. Although spending most of his career within investment markets at leading global firms including HSBC, Salomon Brothers and Citigroup, he has in the last eight years rekindled his involvement in the racing, gaming and hospitality sectors. Richard was Non-Executive Director at Mitchells and Butlers plc, one of the largest operators of restaurants, pubs and bars in the UK and Non-Executive Chairman of Timeweave plc, the joint owner of Turf TV, a dedicated TV channel providing horse racing TV pictures and data to Licensed Betting Offices (LBOs) in the UK and Ireland. Richard brings additional corporate and investment experience from his time as a Managing Director at Tavistock Group where he led a number of takeovers and private company acquisitions.

Ian Penrose

Mr. Ian Penrose is no longer Chief Executive, Executive Director of Sportech Plc. Ian was appointed Chief Executive in October 2005 and has led the turnaround of Sportech from a declining and UK-centric business with very high levels of debt into one of the world’s leading pools and tote gaming companies. He was previously Chief Executive of Arena Leisure PLC, whom he joined in 1998, shortly after the formation of the company and left in September 2005 having built the UK’s largest horseracing and media group. Ian is also a Trustee of the National Football Museum.

Mickey Kalifa

Mr. Mickey Kalifa is no longer Chief Financial Officer of the Company, effective 31 October 2017. He is no longer Director of the Company. Mickey has served as Corporate Development Director of Sportech for the last six years and during this time has played an important role in the acquisition and subsequent development of the Company's activities in North America. Having qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Coopers & Lybrand (now PwC), Mickey has extensive experience in finance and executive director roles, in the UK and US, with some of the world's largest media and technology companies, including Young & Rubicam, Disney, Time Warner, BSkyB and Liberty Media. His appointment has been made following the completion of an appropriate search process.

Luisa Wright

Luisa Wright is Group General Counsel, Company Secretary of Sportech Plc. Luisa was appointed Group General Counsel and Company Secretary in February 2011. She joined the Company from Olswang LLP, where she specialised for over ten years in advising clients in the gambling, sport and media sectors. As Group General Counsel of Sportech PLC, Luisa provides legal advice to the Board and senior management and coordinates legal and regulatory advice across the Group.

Andrew Gaughan

Mr. Andrew Gaughan is Executive Director of the Company. He joined Sportech in 2010 following the Company's acquisition of the Scientific Games Racing business, and has served as President, Sportech Racing // Digital for the last four years. Andrew has extensive experience in the gaming, technology and horseracing sectors, having previously held senior positions at Scientific Games Corporation, Magna Entertainment Corporation and Woodbine Entertainment Group. Andrew is also a qualified lawyer, and is based in Toronto, Canada. His appointment has been made to reflect the importance that the Board places on developing its North American based business.

Richard Boardley

Richard Cooper

Mr. Richard Quentin Mortimer Cooper has been appointed as Non-Executive Director of the Company, effective 24 May 2017. He is a Chartered Accountant, has served shareholders' interests in a number of leading public companies, most recently as Group Finance Director at GVC Holdings plc, the online gaming group, where since 2008 he played a key role in driving the company's growth strategy. He has extensive international experience gained across a wide range of service industries. Previous roles include CFO of Trident Gaming PLC, Group Finance Director of Patsystems PLC, and an earlier career in moneybrokers, Tullett Prebon.

David McKeith

David McKeith is an Non-Executive Independent Director of Sportech Plc. David was appointed to the Board as an independent non-executive director in August 2011 and chairs the Audit Committee. He has around 30 years’ experience as a chartered accountant and tax adviser in large professional firms, latterly as office senior partner for PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP in Manchester. Since 2008 he has developed a portfolio of non-executive roles. He is chairman of the Halle Orchestra and of Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce. In July 2013 he was appointed as a non-executive director of Norcros Plc, where he is senior independent director and Audit Committee Chairman.

J. Peter Williams

J. Peter Wodehouse Williams is Senior Non-Executive Independent Director of Sportech Plc. Peter was appointed Senior Independent Non-executive Director in February 2011. Peter is Chairman of boohoo.com plc, Jaeger and Mister Spex, an online retailer based in Berlin. He is also a non-executive Director of Rightmove plc and Cineworld Group plc; and a trustee of the Design Council. In the past he has also served on the boards of ASOS plc, the EMI group, Silverstone Holdings Limited, Blacks Leisure Group plc, JJB Sports plc, GCap Media plc and Capital Radio Group plc. In his executive career, he was Chief Executive at Alpha Group plc and prior to that Chief Executive of Selfridges plc where he also acted as Chief Financial Officer for over ten years.
