Dec 3 (Reuters) - Private equity firm Maxam Opportunities Fund LP said it offered to buy C.A. Bancorp Inc for about C$32.6 million ($31.08 million) in cash, sending the Canadian merchant bank's stock up 14 percent to a 52-week high.
